I don't know about his NFL career, but I know Crowder returned five punts for TD's in college.
Thats why he was so effective for us. He had a lot of chances. We never know why players leave, but Mac needs to not let go of the few things he has done right as GM. I don't like using a WR that we are counting on to play WR for returns. Especially one with an injury history.

Apparently Roberts is very excited to play against us...said that the dealings were a little shady. Don't know what that means exactly, but I don't understand this move. He wasn't that expense and we have a ton of cap space. I get that he essentially a returner only, but he was fantastic for us last year. Very strange decision.

I’m confused by this move. Doesn’t make much sense. The Jets have struggled with punt returns for years. Finally we get a good one, and we can’t fork over a little extra to keep him? Yes, he’s not a receiving option, but now we have to find another returner who doesn’t wave the white flag on every punt.
Disappointed in this decision.
I know Crowder can do it, but I don't like a contributing WR doing PR duties.
