We were the reason Bledsoe retired/traded. Look who took his place.

I think Bledsoe would have won some super bowls in bradys place had he stayed. I give more credit to belichick, Scarnechia and the system then I do to brady anyway. I think a lot of guys could have been brady in that system from day 1 of their careers

I remember someone saying Cassel could’ve done what Brady did, too.

Some Jets fans are in BIGTIME Brady denial. It’s ok to despise the guy but respect his ability, too.

Thank you for not saying it’s name. Don’t want him to reappear

I said they were 11-5 with Cassel. And that's with Cassel being thrown into an unexpected situation. What part of that is not true? I

How often have the Jets been 11-5? If an unknown guy who has never played a snap brings them to an 11-5 record, you have to give some credit to the rest of the team and the coaching staff. Cassel had a better year that year then Brady did in his return year. Those are the facts. Not my imagination

I will add that if the result of the Jets dolphins game on the last day of the season were reversed, the Cassel led patriots would have gone to the playoffs. Again fact, not my opinion. So to this point you can not argue.

Now here is my opinion which you can argue if you want. Had the outcome of the jets / dolphins game gone the other way and the patriots had then gone to the playoffs. They would have, as usual, won the superbowl. And I bet Cassel ends up, superbowl mvp. Argue that, all I want because it's my opinion. The rest is fact

and if cassel could take that team to an 11-5 record what do think ,Manning Either one, Brees, Rodgers, Rothlesburger... Could have done as a patriot? That's my opinion. I know you hate it, but I don't see how you can argue against it

and none of that is to say Brady stinks or take anything away from him. That would be silly. Just saying that plenty of Other qb's might have done the same with that team. I'd bet Brady would agree too

I have asked many , many patriot fans, "if you could go back 20 years and keep just one ,Brady or belichick, which would it be?" . I have never once gotten Brady as the answer. Not my fault. Again just a fact. How would you answer that question ?

while you think that I say Brady is no good, I have explained to you before that that is not the case at all. All I believe is that without Belichick he is not what he is today. And Belichick without brady, probably still wins

Once on wfan, Francesca was pointing out how if just a few plays had gone different ly, the patriots could have lost every superbowl instead of won them.

without thinking, two plays clearly take away two superbowl s right away . Without the tuck rule call, the raiders win and patriots don't go to the sperbowl. Last year vs. Chiefs, without the roughing the Brady call, where he is clearly not even touched, the Chiefs win and that's another non superbowl. There are many more but those 2 immediately changed the outcome and were both bogus with the new rule change

Most games ever won by a QB. Nine SB appearances, Six SB wins. 4X SB MVP, 3X NFL MVP. 3X first team All Pro. 70,500 yards in his career with 517 TD’s. A lock for first ballot HOF.

Yeah, Matt Cassel could’ve done that with Belichick. Lol.

Mic drop.

once again. Didn't say he would have or wouldn't have. Not sure if you don't read what I say or what? I said matt Cassel went 11-5 with brady's team in his first season played. brady had the same record his first year. Did you or anyone else, thInk after bradys first season that he would have the numbers that he has? Of course not! so you never know do you? Do you not give belichick any credit for this. I know you don't give Scarnechia any credit for it either but ask a patriot fan if they do. You won't find one that says no

I do believe the other guys who I mentioned, that you always over look, very well could have done the same as brady under belichick. No doubt in my mind. Do you doubt that Peyton Manning could have done it ? Or Joe Montana , or Steve young? Are you telling me that you believe that any of those guys couldn't have won as many superbowls as brady if they were under belichick with the same players that brady has? You never answer that because you know damn well that they could have.

Peyton Manning on worse teams then Bradys in 18 seasons had 539 td's, 71,940 yards both more than brady and a 96.5 quarterback rating. also 1st ballet HOF lock and he did it on 2 different teams. had he not been required to outwit belichick every playoff, he would have had at least 6 superbowls. do you doubt that that's a possibility? come on!

Joe Montana , Terry Bradshaw. both played in a different era where qb's actually got hit so you can't compare stats but both are 4-0 in the Super Bowl. Under belichick, in the AFC with no competition what so ever, is it not possible they are 6-0 in superbowls? Of course it's possible

Drew Brees 74,437 yards, 520 TD's both more than brady on worse teams than brady. 97.7 rating How about Drew? Could he have won 6 superbowls on the patriots under belichick? not even an argument

How about our other argument? I say brady has had the best "line play" in football for his career based on my eyes and the eyes of everyone I know. You say brady has a crappy o line that never protects him and he is only alive because he has such a quick release. for fun, Lets compare just this past season, a mobile quarterback vs. brady who You have to admit is not a mobile QB.

lets take Aaron Rodgers vs Brady this past season
Rodgers had 597 pass attempts to bradys 570 with a comp. percentage of 62.3 to bradys 65.8. pretty close right?
rodgers had 25 td passes to brady's 29. again pretty close right?passer ratings
passer ratings. Rodgers 97.6 brady 97.7 virtually the same
passing yards Rodgers, 4442 brady 4355 close again

here's where we see a difference:
I'll discount int's because brady usually has a low number but in this case it is 2 for Aaron and 11 for brady
the big difference is here. the mobile Rodgers was sacked 49 times to mister stands in spots 21times. yeah , yeah, I know brady has such a quick release that's the clear reason. lets see if we can find some footage of his quick release to back this up.

Here's one:

https://www.patriots.com/video/tom-b...-500th-td-pass

Here's one where is is pressured badly and threads it in to a triple teamed gronk:

https://www.patriots.com/video/brady...k-for-19-yards

or to edelman

http://www.nfl.com/videos/nfl-game-h...oss-to-Edelman

just the first 2 I looked at

how about all the pressure he saw throwing to randy moss who was a nobody before the great one started throwing at him. You'll notice some real pressure from our Jets

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yNxr1bWT-ac

or Deion Branch

https://www.patriots.com/video/highlight-brady-hits-branch-for-61-yard-td-65816
http://www.nfl.com/videos/nfl-cant-...67b6e/Brady-and-Branch-burn-Lions-deep-for-TD

or Wes Welker

https://touchdownwire.usatoday.com/...-bradys-99-yard-touchdown-pass-to-wes-welker/

I admit it. I have been wrong all along. I have never seen a quarterback under such duress Or a quarterback throwing to guys who are never open at all and always fall down after the catch. you win

Now, all joking aside, while the guy does have all day to throw, and he does have some very open guys much of the time, who just happen to run for a zillion yards after the catch as seen in the above videos. I have to give him credit because he still has to complete the passes and he does. At the same time you also have to admit that so many different receivers there always make great catches that we have seen Jet receivers drop a million times before and that is not because of brady because as giselle said, her tommy can't throw the ball and catch it too which he proved in the Eagles superbowl

thing is, I didn't search for those videos to prove my point. I searched "brady to whoever" and those were the first ones that came up. I'm sure you can find videos of his quick release because he does have that too. My point has always been that more often then not, he sees no pressure and even more so as you go back to the early years of his career, which is huge because when you don't see pressure as a young guy you can gain a lot of confidence

Your avatar says it all. There’s no reasoning with you about Tom Brady.

you act as if I'm nuts for thinking brady stinks or something. I have never implied that at , in fact, I have said that he is one of the best, just not the greatest of all time in my opinion. I have offered my reasons for this belief and visually showed you them. Heck, Espn wrote an article last year about who was the greatest at each position and brady was not #1 for them either. I posted it here. So I guess I agree with ESPN.

I point out that Montana and Peyton actually have better numbers but less superbowls.

I attribute a good amount of bradys success to the fact that he has the best coaching staff probably ever and the most consistent line play ever. IMO. I doubt you would argue that, would you?

last year I pointed out that the patriots lost their left tackle to the Giants and then they drafted his replacement who went down for the season in the preseason. They then traded for a third string guy from the 49ers? I believe. I said at the beginning of the season that they would not miss a beat in the play of three offensive line and they didn't. No sacks in the playoffs, including a 15 yard roughing call where the offender didn't even touch brady. Probably no sacks in the superbowl too? Never watched or looked it up.

That same new Left tackle after 1 year on the patriots has gone from 3rd string 2 years ago, to keeping brady untouched for a year, to a zillion dollar, insane contract somewhere else.

I will say it again. WRITE THIS DOWN. Scarnechia is back for next season. Whoever they play at left tackle will look just as good as the guy this year. and if he gets hurt, then his backup will be just as good too. I don't know how they do it but that's what the patriots do and quite frankly it makes me kinda sick

Our argument is like the Lebron vs. Jordan arguement. lebron plays in the east where there is no competition and he goes to the finals every year. brady plays in the AFC where there is no competition , specifically in the AFC East where any decent team would go 5-1 at worst. and brady goes to the championship game every year. Lebron goes out west and will miss the playoffs. if brady played in the NFC, he probably wouldn't be in the championship game every year and certainly wouldn't be in it without belichick and scarnechia. Imo. yours may differ

so, I'm just saying , if I had to pick the greatest QB ever , I would pick Manning or Montana and I'm not alone in that opinion. you can pick brady. that's fine, you aren't alone either, but imagine what Peyton or Joe might have done if they were allowed to stand in a pocket knowing that they would never take a hit

my avatar is aimed at belichick btw, are you admitting that the great tom brady is a cheater, because if he is, shouldn't that knock him a peg from the top too?

If given the choice, I would love to implement these changes.

1. Kickoffs. Get rid of them, but replace them with a single play. The "kicking" team starts at the 25, and they can either try to get 10 yards or they can choose to punt. One down. And yes, they could fake it.

2. Overtime. Go to a modified version of the college OT. Start at the 50 to benefit teams that are big play, deep threat teams. Otherwise, play it out like college, but with one huge difference. In the college game, after a second OT, both teams have to go for two. What I would do instead is allow each team to kick a PAT once, at a time of their choosing. If they want to do it in the first OT, they can. If they want to do it in the fifth, they can.
