I've witnessed Trump first-hand, and his hate and negativity, though not directed at me, were pervasive enough that it left an impression. From what I saw, the media clips represented him pretty accurately.
I have a feeling none of us are going to be happy- the man is, above all else, an unflinching liar. Would not surprise me if he doubles back on even his most adamant campaign rhetoric, leaving his most ardent supporters frustrated and disillusioned.
I've witnessed how disgusting liberals are when their candidate doesn't win, the out right disdain for a person with a different opinion. The posts all over Facebook are disgusting from the sore losers. And I'm not talking about 1 candidate, I'm talking about hillary supporters en mass. It's very hypocritical that these very people were condemning Republicans as bigots and bullies, to just turn around and act just that way because the majority disagreed with them. A horde of sore entitled losers.
Me personally, I watched as the media twisted events I witnessed, into something inaccurate to stir up the crowds. It's disgusting and wrong no matter who you vote for, be civil. These people think that because they hate Trump, they have permission to throw temper tantrums.
This is America, the freedom of thought is a unique concept that needs to be valued. That means other people's choices, not just your own, are important and deserve respect.
I agree with what I heard Trump say on immigration. He's not a politician, and had said some really stupid things while he learned that being a shock jock want going to cut it. But I agree that illegal immigration is a major problem. I don't think illegals are evil, I think they should be legal if our economy can support more people. Obama had the chance to increase the amount of legal immigrants accepted into the us,in 08-09, when he controlled the house and Senate. He didn't.
If we accept 500k annually, and have 1 million additional illegals, just increase the legal amount to 1.5 that year. Fingerprint every immigrant electronically and get them into the system. They have dignity, and we remove the threat of these shadow criminals. We then can screen everyone entering and spend less patrolling illegal crossings.
Trump says he wants to pause immigration until the us can get its act together and do it right. I don't see that as hateful, yet the media twists his words.
He did speak poorly when he initially said Muslim ban, but he speaks off the cuff and often doesn't have refined talking points like we're used to.
We know for a fact there are Muslim terrorists using the migrants to infiltrate us. I don't want to punish immigrants, I just expect the security line to do its job.
Before I rant any more, I hope Trump will cross the Isle. He is a political blank slate and not beholden to lobbyists. Perhaps he can take advantage and work with both parties.
Trump is not politically motivated, he already has more money than he can count. I believe he wants to leave a legacy as a fixer. After all he can't do much without congress.
