No Expectations this season, was going to be a bumpy ride out of the gates without injuries but we accrued multiple injuries in preseason.. This team has players that are glue to hold in place until the front office can draft their replacements...

Next year Connor McGovern has no guarantees in his contract and expect them to shop him for a late round pick while they focus in on the draft for his replacement... Moses, and GVR look to be only here for this year and then depending on how or what they think about Fant he could be shopped as well...

We have ammo next draft to not only fill the OL with starters to pair with AVT & Becton but also able to stabilize a couple of other key positions like the secondary maybe a backup QB and/or another receiving option... Also expect in the latter rounds to find not one but two receiving options at tight end...

They did the best what was available and players who were willing to sign here...

The coaching staff may want to mix things up a bit and try a few other players in alternate positions just to see what we have in the measures of talent...

They also need to consider making a move before the bye week in means of a trade to allow the new players time to acclimate to the playbook and mesh with the other players currently on the roster...

Good to see Moses got smarter in a few thousand years. Last time he stayed for 40 years. He does not want to die here searching for the super promise Bowl. One year & gone let some else find the 🔥 bush

I.
keep/get the vets healthy.
make offers to contenders in advance of the trade deadline...and get over paid!!!

II.
load up on mid to late round picks, and parlay them into lower to mid rounds picks.
trade both first round picks down to net lower firsts and get even more 2nd round picks.
do the same in the second to net lower 2nds, and get more thirds.

III.
At this rate, we will have a top 3...we could trade that for practically someone else's draft.
but be smart and only trade with teams loaded with 2nds and 3rds.

IV.
Seriously, we could wind up with :
3 1sts
4 2nds
6 3rds...just to start the draft!!

V.
with them, we can:
complete the Oline, aka The New York Skyscrapers.
get a stud RB.
get studs at Safety, LB's, and a premium CB.

VI.
in FA, get a true #1 at WR to compliment Davis and Moore.

That's how i would make a competitive roster out of what we have.

keep/get the vets healthy. agreed!!!

II.
not caring about the picks we already have 5 picks in the first 3 rounds. that will do plenty and the talent is always deep in drafts if you can find those day 3 gems and we have hit on a few over the years.

III.
again where we pick doesn't matter, we load up on day 3 picks we will be able to move around during the draft if or when one of our picks/prospects may be selected by another team...

IV.
Round 1
Round 1 (from Seahawks)
Round 2
Round 2 (from Panthers)
Round 3
Round 4 (from Panthers)
Round 5
Round 5 (from Steelers)
Round 6
Round 6 (from Buccaneers)
Round 6 (from San Francisco)

This is a good start, whatever else we acquire will only strengthen our draft
V.

Guarantee in Joe Douglas mind is NEED: RG, NEED: LB, NEED: SAF, NEED: TE
But in reality we need a lot more than those 4 positions, but at this point depth is also key and we have next to none... If we are a top of the draft spectrum like inside the top 10 then expect one of two players to be on our focus; Thibodeaux LB from Oregon or Hamilton Safety from Notre Dame both would help out our edge rushing ability and or our coverage... Would love to acquire Evan Neal right tackle from Alabama but in the 2nd round someone like Rasheed Walker from Penn State would be my target even a sleeper like Isaac Moore from Temple in the 4th round would be ideal...

Tight Ends receiving ones won't be available until round 2 and on, so waiting to draft an Isaiah Likely in the 3rd round who has more upside then all four of our current guys put together (Kroft, Griffin, Brown & Wesco) would be again an ideal selection... Hope we don't lose Yeboah, he could contribute if given a chance...

As for running backs we have a fleet of them and will always be committed to a shared back field no need to go after C.J.'s son Isaiah Spiller...

VI.
no need to over pay a free agent to be a Number 1 receiver we can draft another one or two guys to compete with our roster next year as of right now Corey Davis, Elijah Moore and Denzel Mims are the receiver depth chart... They will re-sign one of the three: Cole, Crowder and/or Vyncint Smith...

i am hearing you. however, IMO, our issues look like they are "3rd Round Appropriate" picks...so load up on as many 2nds and 3rds as possible, and stop trying to find the needle in the haystack in the 5th, 6th, and 7th...unless it's an injury drop in status.

I'd rather have 4 3rds than 7 picks in the 4th to 7th.

you can get Stud LB's in the 3rd....alot of time they are plug and play.
you can get Stud Interior OL in the 3rd...again, plug and play.
you can get Stud Strong Safeties in the 3rd...plug and play.

use the 1sts on a RT & DE.
use the 2nds on a CB & Free Safety.

hear me out on the #1 WR...i liken WR's to NBA draft Choices... most never play extensively in their first few years with a few exceptions. They are on rosters learning the ropes, then they go to the next team after the first trains them. MAIN POINT: rarely plug and play.

i say bring in a stud like Cory, but a true Superstar that someone else trained.

like I stated before I believe that the Jets with both 2nd round picks will take a WR & Safety...

one safety who is touted as a late 3rd early 4th round pick right now... I expect if he continues his solid play will vault up to late 2nd... Sterling Weatherford, S, Miami (Ohio)... Weatherford is off to a productive start this season, recording 13 tackles, an interception and two passes defended... He is a sleeper who should/could rise... measurables: 6'3" 218 lbs. ideal for Saleh/Ulbrich's defense...

as for receiver one to watch is Jahan Dotson from Penn State he could be next year's Elijah Moore and fall out of the first round... would be a perfect addition to our receiving core room...

I expect depending on draft position the OL is the focal concern in round 1... we have 3 positions to draft but the main focus should be center then right tackle because I feel the coaching staff was hammered when Clark got that stinger... He actually fits this scheme well and the way GVR has played thus far they wish Clark was available...

you know you love this shit...
I say give Joe Douglas more time he is doing what he can with what he has...
Drafting Left Tackle first draft awesome...
Drafting Left Guard next to that Tackle the following year, step in the right direction...
Expect this year there are 3 top centers in the draft one a legacy in Matthews from A&M...
Also expect him to delve into the right tackle situation maybe also in the first round... There are plenty that will work...
Like I said before I think not only JD but the coaching staff are holding out hope for Cameron Clark to be that guy at RG...
Signed 1 FA WR to a multi year deal while the other one was a 1 year deal... Restructured Crowder save some money...
Braxton Berrios is a UFA, Jeff Smith is ERFA... They are going to draft someone to join Davis, Mims and Moore...
Fix the OL is paramount this year and will allow us to be stabilized for years to come while only seeking depth/rotational options...
The other main question is do we sign a free agent tight end or attempt to draft one or both?
Running backs except for Adams who should be retained on an affordable deal the others are all under contract, they should walk away from Coleman...

Offense looks or shows some potential but need to play call them into a rhythm and hope they can stack positive snaps moving forward...

I'm not sure we have a franchise left tackle. he has to stay on the field for that
