No doubt it'll be interesting . Personally I rather take a Kaaya or Mahomes in the 2nd or 3rd than any of the other guys in RD 1. I still like Petty and think Hack can be a great one but I am from the school of keep picking till you find the guy and if by some miracle you got 2 guys that can be the guys GREAT

Vicious cycle because you are continually surrounding inexperienced QBs with subpar surrounding casts and OCs who arent able to develop young QBs. Geno with no skill players and now a subpar OL.

I agree with you about the OL But I do like Shell at this point......But many jet fans see this unit as not being as poor as I do. They do have a few besides shell that could be good (Guards) but I don't see it yet

Vicious cycle? But in todays NFL if you don't have a QB you don't have much.. Find the QB build the team around him... and 1 pick isn't making or breaking the team because you can't build the rest of the team... we have 7 picks and money to spend in FA once the dead weight is cut.... It doesn't always have to be high pick.... Like Petty in the 4th.. You can look for guys in the mid rds too.. It just depends on where you are drafting, what fruits the draft has to offer, scouting etc... There are always goood players available in every round and UDFA... We revamped our WR corp last year after the 6th rd with Anderson, Peake and J Marshall... If the qb we want is there in rd1 take him if its RD5 take him... I get your point but a B is needed more than anything on this team.. SO keep taking and keep developing until Hack, Petty or whoever is drafted this year or next year becomes the guy

It sure does make a difference when it is high draft picks every year. And if you pick them later then the chance of them good is pretty slim. We have drafted QB's almost every year for the last 6 and still haven't hit. The front office and the organization sucks and has sucked for many decades. I have no faith or hope in the Jets.

I have no problem with Mac using another high pick on a QB. However, that QB had better start playing immediately. I do NOT want any more project players utilizing high picks. That's a waste of picks. We never even hot to see Hack take a single snap this season and that is bull shit.

If Mac insists on being an asshole picking guys that might be good players 3 years down the road, then those picks MUST be in the 5th round or later. I'll stab him in the fucking throat myself if he wastes another high pick on a project. The Jets are simply not good enough to wait 3 years to possibly get returns out of said player.

So if Mac wants to use the 6th pick on Trubisky, I am fine with it so long as the kid plays his season.

It'll be interesting to see where we go with this...

If we take a QB in FA, then we either aren't going to draft a QB early or one of Petty/Hack isn't expected to last.

If we don't go for a QB then another drafted QB is likely.

I would be happy to build the OL and give Petty 2017 to stake his claim. That then gives Hack and 1 other time to learn. Then depending on how it's gone - we punt/trade one of our QBs and draft another.

We need to get 'The Man' but until we have some protection for him we may not know what we have.

Setting all emotion aside, that is actually a very interesting question. I feel the same way that TCT does and cannot seem to walk away from looking at the car wreck. Yet, the season is over, it is a long time until another starts and I log on here every day to see what news there is. For local fans we have another, more logical choice yet we are still here. Someone bring in a team of psychologists!
