Well when the team has pretty much zero offense does it matter how bad the defense gets? Even if the defense only allowed 10 points per game they would still lose.

Get all of the "kids" in, and keep them in. They will play hard. They might even inspire vets to do so even if they are inclined to preserve their bodies for a new season on a new team.

thing is Maye hasn't been good - they've been using him again at SS and he just doesn't play well there - similar to last year before they moved him and his stats vastly improved. The flaw in his game is what likely kept the GM from writing a blank check. Trading him wouldn't surprise me as busting the bank doesn't seem warranted when the rest of the roster is on the cheap still.

Doesnt surprise me Maye missing time because a contract dispute. Trade him. Very few SS's are deserving big contracts as Seahawks will soon find out signing Jets past Safety.

we do need to get more picks, but bundle the plethora of 4ths to 7ths for a few 3rds.
then get "3rd Round Appropriate" picks like interior oline, safeties, and linebackers.
