i could post something snarky but there's no need for that.. i will say i strongly disagree though..Today the Chicago rb has announced the bears don't intend to re sign him.
Add him to last years team, and the Jets win the super bowl. Cut Cromartie and give him 5-6mil.

You'd be wrong. With ivory not playing hurt, nobody could stop us, when ivory sucked,ie hurt, the game changed.i could post something snarky but there's no need for that.. i will say i strongly disagree though..
forte has been a quality back who might have enough tread on his tires for one more good year..
that said, i think it would be a horrible use of 5-6 million for us..
ivory's replacement will be in the draft, IMO..
LOLz presumptuous much??You'd be wrong. With ivory not playing hurt, nobody could stop us, when ivory sucked,ie hurt, the game changed.

Haha,at least you can admit when you're wrong.LOLz presumptuous much??
if you believe a solid RB down the stretch was the difference between us an a SB win, who am i to argue??
What if we sign n trade mo, cut cro to pay Forte and save 3 million, and sign snacks.I do like Forte, but for the 5-6 million to sign him I would rather sign Snacks. I'm not taking nothing away from Forte, he is a good back.

I think that's the kind if deal Forte gets if he goes to a 'win now' team as a roleplayer - if he wants 5-6MM, I think he's got to go to a lesser team and try to be the workhorse back again.Oh god no.
Please get younger and retain Powell. Just my opinion, but i feel when CJ Spiller gets cut by the Saints, he'll be a Jet on $2-3 mil 1 year "prove it" deal.
It will be interesting with Ivory if we keep him. I think he'll demand a lot and frankly, RBs like him with his style just dont last long.
ironically, he's being let go by a "lesser team.."I think that's the kind if deal Forte gets if he goes to a 'win now' team as a roleplayer - if he wants 5-6MM, I think he's got to go to a lesser team and try to be the workhorse back again.
...a lesser team that's staying with their QB and has already drafted/groomed his successor at RB. One that needs to use resources on a QB might look at a hold the fort type of back (bad pun intended). But I think it's more likely that the market isn't there for him, and he takes a low-guarantee short term contract.ironically, he's being let go by a "lesser team.."
i don't see any team paying an already 30 year old forte 5-6 million next season..

NYJETSDAN16 got me curious, so i did a little research last night on spiiller's possible availability..Is spiller on the chopping block?
Personally not a fan of spiller, not that it matters. It's also a benefit to have your starters on the team before camp.NYJETSDAN16 got me curious, so i did a little research last night on spiiller's possible availability..
from what i read, if the saints cut him before june 1st, the salary cap hit will be immediate.. if they cut him after june 1st, the cap hit will be pushed somewhere into the future.. so chances are the saints won't make a decision on him until sometime in training camp..
spiller doesn't turn 29 until august, BTW & i would be interested in a kind of deal dan is talking about.. the added bonus is spiller had by far his best NFL season in gaily's offense..
