But yet it does not seem to dawn on anyone of you dweebs that the Jets getting him is a GOOD thing. They still argue against as though the Jets didn't need him or that he is overrated.:roflmao:

I don't think anyone here was complaining about going after Revis because he lost a step. Those that were against the signing just thought that Revis is the type of player you sign when you are one person away or on the brink of being a SB contender. The Jets are far from that.....

They sure as hell were before it happened. Then, crickets. I'd love to know what happened to the guy (name?) who has the two strippers in his signature. He was railing anyone who dared bring up Revis and accused those of being Revis lovers if they spoke of him. Real fair guy. I'd like to see him re-appear and speak out on the issue again but it seems he's disappeared. He was borderline hostile and it was allowed apparently because he was dubbed as a "good guy" by the mods for his past behavior as they looked past his incendiary comments. Pandering to the 3rd degree sticking up for you buddies, right mods? How about a little fairness. Wouldn't kill you.

No, you forget a sizeable number who were actually complaining after the fact (and before his signing) as well towards his being a bad person (for which I argued against at least a half dozen posters on the merits of such a statement) and that they wouldn't want him here. Revis was bad (in their opinion) because he held out. Or that he made too much money and was greedy (ucrenegade). Let's be accurate and fair here.

Go back and re-read and tell me what you think on the re-signing of Revis thread. While no one was against the signing, there's obvious envy and disgust towards him as a person. To me, that reached the level of complaining but maybe this simply my personal interpretation.

When have we ever been unfair? We pretty much let anything go here because we are adults and can have discussions on a topic without anything getting out of hand. Once cursing and personal attacks take place that is when we try to step in and diffuse the conversation. So far everything has been pretty much civilized, sorry if you don't agree.

If we ban anyone that says something borderline offensive, we'll have no one on this board. We monitor everything closely here and make the decisions off that. Everyone here, I've noticed, is good at self policing so we let it be. If people feel otherwise, do let me know.

By the way, you are talking about Savage. I see him lurk here and there. I do seem to recall that Revis lover conversations but I forgot what that was about. Do you really think he felt that Revis has lost a step or was it because he didn't think Revis was a good fit at this part of our rebuild?

You are right and I misread NYDraftKing's post.

The point I was trying to make was that all posters know that Revis is a great player and will help the team. they can't complain about that.

Those people that complained that he is a bad person are probably over it at this point after thinking about the benefit of his play to our team.

We are all new posters here. The majority of our active posters have joined after February 6 and we are all getting to know each other. Some have relationships from prior boards but it's a nice dynamic, I think.

No buddies, just lenient. The board is still in its infancy, this will obviously change if we get more posters and once the season starts because that is when everyone's true colors will start.

I predict after week 1, we'll have a "Fire Bowles" thread.

You and renegade, machina verde and the other mods here have ZERO to apologize to anyone about in your administration of this forum from day one.

If a poster is unhappy with it, they can try Jetnation or Scout and see real cliques and true mod cronyism and different rules for different posters.

Speaking just for me, this has been the best forum from inception and you all deserve praise and commendation for your tireless hard work in starting it and handling its considerable growth

So no one is allowed to voice concerns, is that what you are saying?

I'm quite aware of my choice to stay or leave as I also like the forum here and want to protect it from those who get out of hand. Are you saying I can't voice this concern? That's all I was saying. And until you get all the facts, please refrain from judging me or others with your sweeping assumptions meant to demean. Got it?

Im amazed at the amount of time and effort you and the mods put in. I mean..I absolutely love the Jets..but I have to work a little ...but I don't want you guys to get burnt out...go out and take a walk and enjoy some sunshine here and there......HA
