What are your thoughts? I don't follow NCAA too closely but right now based off the hype I want Mariota or Amari

With the New York Jets heading toward a top-10 draft pick for the second time in three years, here's the latest Big Board Insider from ESPN's Mel Kiper Jr.

Currently, the Jets hold the No. 5 position. Go ahead, Jets fans, dream:

Top 10

1. *Marcus Mariota, QB, Oregon

2. *Leonard Williams, DE, USC

3. *Randy Gregory, DE, Nebraska

4. *Amari Cooper, WR, Alabama

5. *Shane Ray, DE, Missouri

6. Brandon Scherff, OT, Iowa

7. *Melvin Gordon III, RB, Wisconsin

8. **Jameis Winston, QB, Florida St.

9. DeVante Parker, WR, Louisville

10. *Landon Collins, S, Alabama

* An asterisk denotes a junior for the 2014 season; two asterisks denote a redshirt sophomore.

I like Randy Gregory and Leonard Williams. Gregory has great speed who can get to the quarterback. Jets need a pass rusher and I believe he leads Nebraska in sacks. Williams on the other hand is young, versatile fast, and would be a great addition to the Jets offense. I also like Cooper and I wouldn't mind Mariota either. With Mariota I'm just scared that he will have a hard time translating into the NFL, because of the kind of the system he plays in Oregon.

I like them both also, but can the Jets really go D again this year? particularly DL? That may be where they find themselves if Maroita, Winston, and Cooper are all off the board, and that is likely if they select at 5

We can honestly go with any pick just not d line. I think we are stacked there.

Problem is 3 of the top 5 are DE. More then likely Cooper will be gone along with Mariota. Then it OL or DE. yet to be determined where Winston will fall. Big game for him against Georgia Tech, who are a real good team

Randy Gregory is a versatile player who can play almost anywhere on defense. However this is all depending what kind of defense they decide to run next year. Jets could use a young pass rusher and I think Gregory would be a great fit.

Winston if available would be the pick if Mariota gone...even over Cooper....if all three gone get the O-Lineman

I agree and most likely not. I just like these two players and can see where they would fit with the Jets, however I think offense is the best option.
