Trading Dak Prescott and Signing Tom Brady

The chances of Tom Brady leaving the Patriots for another team has never been as good as it is now. He is expected to take his time deciding on his next move.

There are plenty of teams reportedly interested in Brady’s services. The Raiders, Dolphins and Chargers have all been mentioned as possible landing spots.

Another team emerged last week, the Dallas Cowboys. This might not be as ridiculous as it sounds.

Former Cowboys receiver Michael Irvin confirmed that there have been talks of franchise tagging Dak Prescott, then trading him and signing Tom Brady.

Irvin revealed that he had talked to someone “very significant” about the Cowboys doing that on WEEI’s “Dale & Keefe.”

I don't think many other organizations value Prescott as much as he would sign for.

If they sign and trade Dak, it would be for a salary averaging the top 5 QBs in the game. That has to be somewhere around $30MM. Who is paying that AND giving up significant draft compensation for him?

He could probably stand in 1 spot for a good long while behind their offensive line

Maybe franchise and trade but wouldn’t a sign and trade go on the Cowboys cap??
Wouldn’t they get hit with some cap busting bonus or such ANNND pay Tom Brady?
Maybe Irvin was asked to put down that vodka cranberry.
