The defense allowed nothing, but then gave up the game winning drive. They suck too, imo

If you're argument is based on the premise that the defense wasn't tested because the offense was inert then you have a point. Otherwise, the defense played well enough to win. This one is on offense and special teams...but mostly offense.

I’m saying it was a SOJ loss. We have had years of awful offense and defense giving up game winning drives. Now we even add special teams ineptitude, just like the last cheatahs game. We played like jets today all around. We need to play like real NFL teams. Not like Jets

So for those who watched the game yesterday, we watched Dan Campbell and his staff do "exactly" what I've been saying LaFleur needs to do (but refuses to)!!!
He threw an extra damn lineman out there (lined up as a FB), lined up in I-Formation and forced the damn run game!!!
These are the types of adjustments that LaFleur just seems oblivious to. He runs with his plan and when that doesn't work "it's the players fault because they aren't executing".

If you work on something all week in Practice, go into a game and call the play and it looks nothing like you practiced, whose fault is it . When you’re told to break off your route at 10 yards and work back towards the LOS but you drift upfield and the ball gets picked why is that the coordinator. When your assignment is the TE but film study shows a tendency to go to a specific player and you disregard your assignment because of a hunch, whose fault is it. .
I hate the cheaters but the one thing I like about them is their mantra of “do your job “ ,

So after the sh*t show against Jacksonville, some of you want to throw Wilson under the bus.
I'm not defending Zach Wilson. Yes Streveler played better but the offense was atrocious. The biggest indictment of Lafleur's ineptitude was the fact that Streveler ran 9 times for 54 yards and the rest of the team 12 yards. Many of our pass plays are garbage regardless of the QB. And because of this we suck.
Throwing Zach under the bus doesn't help Zach. So why should anyone care about Zach Wilson's development anymore? Because he'll be on the team next season and we may need to rely on him.
