Just because someone throws a mic in front of your mouth, doesn’t mean what you say holds a lot of merit.
Clam up Tanny, you failed at two different organizations, rather listen to someone that actually built a championship team, not get spanked by them.

Tanny overall flopped for our team I will admit but you guys severely misunderstood what he said on ESPN about this. He was saying that the Jets should keep Darnold but bring in a younger veteran like Winston to push him for the starting position and may the best man win. Makes sense to me with the way Darnold’s playing he needs some true competition. Might make him a better QB. Now I’m not defending Tanny, just pointing out the facts to what he stated.

I believe the position with Darnold and/or a Winston or another vet in his prime, would be too costly.
I'd love to see a Trevor of course or Zach with believe-it-or-not, Fitzpatrick at the QB position. I'm no capologist, just a jerky Jets fan for life!

I think if the Colts are locked into a playoff spot going into week 17, they may “rest” some players. Maybe not go all out for that game, show any plays(vanilla calls).
The way some were worried about the Patriots tanking so the Jets don’t get Lawrence, the same should apply to the Colts, who should not want a generational talent at QB going to a division rival, who’d they play twice a year and have to compete against for the division.
Especially, with the Colts QB being on a one year deal and his last legs.
It would be more advantageous for the Colts if the Jets drafted Lawrence, and then, even turned around and swung a deal for Darnold.
Call me crazy but that’s what I’m thinking.
