One thing seems certain, he doesn’t have a future here. Underperforming players who whine about playing time usually don’t rot on the bench. They get cut or traded. They’re not going to want this guy moping around the sideline. Problem is, I don’t think his production warrants anything more than a 7th. But this is JD we’re talking about. A guy who traded Chris Herndon and Sam Darnold for good returns.

I was excited about the pick back when we took him until I saw the tape, and McShay saying “he comes from a simplified Baylor offense that doesn’t rely on precise routes”.

With LaFleur’s offense the critical attribute of all WRs seems to be crisp route running at all levels of the tree and YAC. Mims has ability after the catch but doesn’t appear to have the suddenness out of his cuts which lessens his effectiveness in this offense.

yeah even in that game Sunday he had some 'rounded' cuts for catches.....speaks more to the coverage/ability of the DB.
