Mims will be inactive today, yes. Until all reasons (facts) come out, I am a bit baffled.
Three plays last week , and he made a 40 yd. completion. That tells me something. If he had trouble with the playbook, give this 4.3 in the 40 speedster two or three plays. The D could know about it, and it might not have even mattered.

he is inactive so OL Isaiah Williams can be active they need to protect the starters with depth and make sure Zach Wilson doesn't get killed...
And once Crowder returns he will still be inactive
maybe, other players might be healthy to return and stabilize other key positions opening a chance for him to play not to mention injuries...
you are reaching for a reason when they have 46 active roster spots plus 2 spots called up from practice squad...

You have me wrong. This isn’t a debate for me to have Mims active. It’s a point that he’s so far down the depth chart that his play time is indicative on other wideouts being injured. Assuming he’s unhappy with his playing time this young man might become a distraction
but they stated that he isn't prepared or ready or earned a game day roster spot...
they have their guys this coaching regime...
Jamison Crowder is technically not their guy...
Jeff Smith is like the rookie Elijah Moore they have roles for them...
Corey Davis and Keelan Cole are their guys...
Braxton Berrios is our punt returner so they make a role for him on offense...
Denzel Mims will get his shot and when he does he will have to prove he belongs on the active day roster...
I think the fact that he produced more in 3 plays than guys who played the whole game Is what everyone is upset about. He's down the depth chart and getting no love, yet every time he hits the field he produces which leads back to why everyone is so baffled that the coaching staff has tabbed him "persona non grata"
Look at it this way folks . The Jets believe that the talent level on the roster has improved so much even a former starter who was a high 2nd round pick is having trouble getting on the field.

They should trade Mims now so he can become the all-pro his potential says that he will be. If they don’t want to give him a chance, let him go someplace where he will get that chance. If it wasn’t obvious that the Jets couldn’t of used him yesterday, even if it was just to run go routes than I don’t know what will!

lets see where this goes over the next few weeks. I feel like they are "teaching him a lesson", they just seem vague in their reasoning. And for all the chatter of "how talented these guys are, and how well they are producing in practice", IMO no one not named Corey Davis should be getting ordained anything! The other receiver Saleh keeps bragging about all look like hot shit!
I would not be surprised to see both Mims and Crowder inactive today. If the passing game struggles vs Broncos this can develop into a distraction. We now have teams inquiring about his availability. We don't know if any strong offers are made or just a by the way conversation. The media blows up everything to get a hit. My guess is if an offer is made Joe will listen. If a desperate team dangles a couple of picks I can see a trade happening. A win squelches the chatter. Another loss adds a log into the fire.
