MMQB and NFL Network’s Albert Breer reporting that Giants GM Gettleman loves Darnold, and the coaches want Allen. Source told Breer “They don’t like Rosen”.

Yes, this might be smoke. But if it’s legit, the Jets will probably have their choice of Rosen or Mayfield.

Also the source said “they ALL love Saquon Barkley”

The last article I read, today actually, said that the Giants don't think that any of these QBs are worth a number 2 pick. That was on the Giants Wire by Dan Benton.

Who really knows right now, right? The Giants are in the driver’s seat and can sit back and just take the best player in the draft (Barkley), or entertain numerous offers from teams wanting to move up for the QB they want.

I believe certain reporters more than others. Albert Breer is a pretty credible source. That’s the only reason I started this thread. I think the Giants want Darnold, but know that Saquon Barkley would be immediate payoff for the 2018 season and beyond. Barkley’s being described as a once in a generation type player. That’s high praise. Whereas Darnold wouldn’t see the field until maybe next year, and isn’t quite the slam dunk Barkley is.

The Giants are definitely in the drivers seat on this one and as you say who really knows what they are planning. The statement made by that article could be all smoke and mirrors to keep the Browns from taking the guy they really want to be there at two. Would love for the Jets to be in that enviable position, not that they would ever screw it up and pick the wrong player.
