BS! Fields can or at least he has the capabilities of being a legit QB. He went 4-2 with the Steelers last year and throw for about 1100 yards, with a 63 completion percentage in those games. That proves he can help a team win as a throwing QB. He just so happens to be a better runner of the ball than a thrower (for now). He’s 26-years old and can get better. Geno Smith and Sam Darnold (your savior) proves that. So give the kid a chance and stop throwing shade at the dude before he even hits the field.Well we do.
I think you thought I called Justin Fields a TE. I said we already have his TE from college. Jeremy Ruckert who has sucked in the NFL, but had some success with Fields. We can only hope Fields becomes as good as Darnold was last year. The problem with cherry picking his record with the Steelers is that they had an elite defense. The Jets do not. He threw for 156 yards and led the Steelers to 6 FG's in game one. He threw for 117 yards in game 2. He threw for 1TD vs Chargers and 245 yards which was probably his best game. He threw for 312 yards vs the Colts and in the one game they used his arm they lost. Then back to 131 vs the Cowboys. He threw for 145 yards vs Raiders, but they won with their running game. He did nothing to show Tomlin that they could sustain winning with those stats so he benched him. It's a passing league and I think Fields has shown he is not great at passing the ball. There is your 4-2. So in 4 of 6 games he threw for 156 yards or less. I think the Jets realize in training camp that Tyrod Taylor is better than Fields, but is brittle. I don't hate the move because I think Fields is just a bridge to the 2026 QB class and I want the worst record possible. If the Jets run the air out of the ball which they better, then Fields is going to be a serviceable QB. When they have to pass the ball, Fields is not going to win many games. Next year is a wasted year, but if Fields does a 180 and proves that he can be a legit QB then I will be happy. I just don't have much faith.BS! What am I saying, I know exactly who I’m talking to and it’s absolutely pointless to even try!
Ok I got it and I did misunderstood your post. What you posted here I agree with. He’s either a serviceable stop gap guy (MOST LIKELY) or he could end up being the guy and surprise us all. Wishful thinking but I doubt that seriously!I think you thought I called Justin Fields a TE. I said we already have his TE from college. Now if you say Fields can run the ball or move the ball pocket then I agree. Maybe they are devising a special offense for Fields.
I really like Fields as a competitor and think he is a hell of an athlete. He can make lots of plays with his legs which will make passes easier. It's the coaching staff's job to make him successful. We will see how creative the new OC is.Ok I got it and I did misunderstood your post. What you posted here I agree with. Well Glenn saw firsthand what Sam LaPorta did for the Lions so I think it's a possibility.Do this and I’ll start trying to figure out if we can get a wild card spot
7. New York Jets
Tyler Warren | TE | Penn State
There's plenty of defensive talent to tempt Aaron Glenn, but setting up Justin Fields for success has to be the top priority. Warren has a rare blend of size, athleticism and physicality, and the versatility to be a matchup nightmare for opposing defenses.
Agreed, but he also saw what Penei Sewell did for Lions at RT, so don't count out Membou.Well Glenn saw firsthand what Sam LaPorta did for the Lions so I think it's a possibility.
I have heard from someone in the front office that James Burnip from Alabama will be the pick. They have a trade deal in place to move up to grab him.....Make up for passing on last years pass on super TE
Round 1, Pick 7: Tyler Warren, TE, Penn State
Warren has emerged as not only the best player in a very deep tight end class, but he looks like a player who likely is not going to escape the Top 10. The Jets, who passed on Brock Bowers last year, could replace Tyler Conklin and give Fields a robust No. 2 target in his debut season.

I don’t think that passing up Bowers and selecting Olu was a mistake. I would select a foundational LT every time over a TE, assuming you need both. As much as I love Warren i’d be hard pressed to take him over Membou or Graham if they are available this year.Make up for passing on last years pass on super TE

That fuckin cooncatI wouldn't mind that pick Big Guy but I heard they are very, very serious about using that pick on Javontez Spraggins OG Tennessee.
Lucky for you Bigmoe the Cooncat was just screwing with you. Javontez Spraggins is listed as # 499 in the draft candidate rankings. That fuckin cooncat
YesDidn't we at one time take a TE out of Penn State (Brady) over a DT (Sapp) that T.B. picked with the next pick who was a DOMINATE force. It was one of the worst picks in Jets history.

I’d still go TENow that Rodgers is back with the Jets for 2 more years, I think the pick must be O Line.
Drugs are bad. Hmmmmm ok
With your girth, I would go WRI’d still go TE![]()
