If the board falls this way I'm taking the best available edge rusher without the red flags, Emmanuel Ogbah.

How bout you?

This won't be a popular pick but I would take Reggie Ragland and anoint him the heir apparent to David Harris. The drop-off at ILB after Ragland is drastic and we need Harris' replacement desperately. 2nd - 4th (hopefully 5 picks after trading Mo) is where Mac needs to find a T, OLB, CB and RB.

MyDog - If you could guarantee me that Ragland was a Luke Kuechly clone I would agree with you. I could be wrong, but he strikes me more as a 2 down ILB with limited range. I do agree that a Mo trade is essential, particularly if we can add a 2nd and 3rd/4th. If we are able to pull that off, then I see us grabbing a QB (Lynch/Cook) in round 1 or 2.

#15...If I could guarantee that I'd be working for Woody! :)

I think Ragland has decent speed (certainly better than Harris) and as an ILB he'd be on the field for most downs. And the dropoff after him is too drastic. With him, Mauldin and another OLB with speed (the kid from BYU?) this group would be a stronghold behind Sheldon and Leonard.

He could be a perfect LB/S in TB's system.

Paxton Lynch at 20, however I do believe Mo will be dealt and we'll have another or a higher 1st. In that event, I could easily a top tackle being selected by the Jets. Ronnie Stanley? Jack Conklin? depending on where the Jets are picking and how the board falls either of those players could be an excellent choice.

A top level tackle for Mo would be a great outcome. Still

Spence, then hold my breath that he isn't another Sheldon Richardson.

Guy tore it up at the Senior Bowl, then couldn't complete either his Pro day, or the combine. Has had trouble before with drugs. Spriggs would be my 2nd choice. Something has to give with OT soon.

Probably still take Spence.

Doubt Jets will take Ragland, they seem to have the ILB'er covered with Henderson, who played pretty well against the run last year, and Carter who figures to be an excellent 3rd down guy and is still pretty young.

Lynch? Depends where they think Petty is. Lynch is far from a plug and play QB.

With all due respect FL I don't think (and I think they don't think) they have the ILB covered with this group. Especially without Snacks eating space in front of them.

With the Raiders re-signing Aldon Smith today( not eligible to return till November) . The Raiders will eventually be a 3-4 defense. ( 4-3 to start the season) Sheldon Rankins isn't a fit for a 3-4 defense.

The Raiders are probably looking for a Mario Edwards clone on the defense line . A Defenselineman who can play De on the run downs in 4-3, and slide inside on the passing downs to rush from Dt. Eventually play De in 3-4. ( when Aldon Smith returns).
Robert Nkemdiche is probably the closest thing to Mario Edwards game.

The Raiders have three Nt's already on roster Dan Williams, Justin Ellis , and Leon Orr 6'5 325 could probably play de in 3-4.

I don't believe Mac would ever pick Spence given his very colorful past. The Jets could pick up Randy Gregory right now. He's a stellar edge rusher and fulfills a huge need for the team, but Mac is not biting. There's simply too much baggage there.

I would imagine Mac feels quite concerned about Spence as well.

I could be wrong, but that's the way I see things.

I think your right. Shame to. Spence is the best pass rusher in this draft, and IMO he'll be there. BIG risk taking him

The Jets can't pick up Randy Gregory today, as he property of the Dallas Cowboys. ( was drafted last year). I think you mean Greg Hardy who the Jets could pick up today.

Big difference between what Greg Hardy( won't take any responsibility) and what Noah Spence did. Noah Spence could be the Bears pick at 11. ( need an pass rushing outside lb bad).

I'll be very surprised if he is taken at 11. Despite his great Senior Bowl week, he had to back out of both his pro day, and the combine for injury, or illness.

It has teams VERY suspicious in view of his past.

IDK

If they draft him they could have him room with Sheldon to mentor him, and play the big brother.

Who knows maybe Sheldon could take him for a car ride.
