No question Mo was and is overvalued. He shows up, at meetings and on the field, when and only when, he feels like it. I agree totally with suspending him for the remainder of the season and then getting rid of him.

Sheldon and Mo are both just bad humans. Has nothing to do with Bowles. Sheldon has been kicked out of at least one game in Seattle and Mo has been benched twice.

Well, the front office and Mo should have an honest, open conversation about why he's choosing to do what he's doing? I really don't know if this has anything to do with the situation, but Mo never pulled any of this when Rex was around, did he? Anyway, they need to have that conversation if they haven't already and determine the best course of action based on Mo's responses.
The one thing I know for certain was these claims that Toilet was a Parcells disciple is complete nonsense. Toilet is the complete opposite in terms of how he interacts with the players and obviously at least for Mo the situation has come to a head. Mo would have been a total shining example of a teammate under Parcells.

Mo was not the only one that pulled this late crap to meetings with Rex, but Rex didn't care to punish his prized possessions because he was more buddy buddy with his players whom ultimately led to his demise as our coach...
Mo's excuse he calls up stating he is gonna be late because he is having issues with his kids... But this isn't the first rodeo and it seems to be the same excuse every time, eventually any organization is going to say enough is enough... We are paying you to not only show up in games but come to team organized meetings, practices and whatever else and he is not all in...
As for Todd Bowles approach to hold his player accountable is the right move and appreciated that this regime is looking to build a team in the right way...
They just had an article today on the Ryan/Moe relationship. Ryan says Moe was a model citizen when he coached him, says he doesnt recognize this guy now. Says he was never late. It just seems odd to me that Hes late, Sheldon was late in 2016, Lee is now having some late issues....It seems to be systemic of Bowles' approach. These issues tend to happen in bad teams. You think Bellicheck would let this fly? They would of shown Moe the door to Cleveland already lol. I dont like "player coaches". Look what happened to the Giants after Coughlin left and McAdoo took over.....how many players - vets - he had to discipline this year. Did any of it work before he was fired? Once the culture is set with the coach, its set.
I agree with you on accountability. However, article today says Moe was never late under Ryan according to Ryan. If it is false, then we never heard about lateness then. I will say Moe was a top talent under Ryan, so was Sheldon, so was our D-line.
I am also not sure about Bowles and accountability. 3 years later he is finally benching the guy.....shouldnt he have been gone by now if he is this problematic? Bowles is a players coach much like Ryan. I think this is systemic.

You are forgetting to mention all of the facts? Rex, for all of his faults, got the best out of Mo Wilkerson. That's a fact. What that has to do with this? God only knows? But it does make me wonder? Actually, Mo played well for Toilet in 2015. He played nice under the new HC. However, after he got his extension is when all of it went to pot. This is also just so happens to coincide with with Mo fracturing his leg in the last game of the 2015 season. So that clouds thing a tad? I would think it is perfectly reasonable to have a bit of a dip in production in the 2016 season? But now it is bordering on the ridiculous. He's been pretty much useless for a season and a half. What's worse is that you do see production out of him from time to time. That means he is capable at this point, but not giving it his all. That's BS.
Anyway, that's what the NYJ need to speak Mo about. Lay out exactly what I just said and see what his response is? Maybe he still wants to play for Rex? Maybe he doesn't like Toilet? If that's the case then it's clear the NYJ need to move on. Rex is never coming back............

I remember Amaro commenting on players coming late and missing meetings under Rex and several Bills players including McCoy saying the same about him after the Bills firing him. Rex also made the comment about Belichick benching Revis for being late , that he never benched players for being late, but would fine them during team meetings and keep it between the players and him.
Mo's son is only 2-3 years old. Unless it was a medical emergency , there's no excuse. And Bowles is a player coach. If there was truly an issue of that nature with Mo's son.Bowles would have had his back and stated personal or family issues were the reason Mo was not traveling to New Orleans.
My only issue with Bowles discipline this year is benching Lee a full game for a first offense , while only benching Mo part of the first quarter for his 4th offense in recent weeks. In my opinion, Mo should have been benched the first time late this season, especially given it's gone on over three seasons with this regime .
Finally Jets are getting rid of the SCAMMER! Ive said it since Wilkerson milked his injury as an excuse for non-effort. Really a bad look for Jets management who knows this trash everyday and didnt see a 80mil scam from him. Zero work ethic & absolutely no pride in his work. I hope whoever gets him knows he will only play hard till he gets his big contract. Richardson was the same crap & Revis also. GM should have known all 3 were scamming them. LOW LIFES.
Lee has had other issues, that have not been as out there through the media except for the one everyone knew about with Leonard Williams getting involved... As for Mo, he feels he isn't going to hurt his pocket getting fined and we don't know the real number of times he has been late... Maybe they see he is having issues so instead of them fining him for a full game they told him to fix it and gave him a minor punishment... We will never know but guarantee Lee more than likely had no excuse why he was late, don't think he is married nor has kids... Both Maccagnan and Bowles are married with kids so they may have been lenient with Mo, but then Wilkerson still was always late and enough is enough...
I know Bowles is a player coach, but he wants to keep things in house which I appreciate unlike the Rex Ryan snack time... Late to meeting have a snack, miss a practice have a snack, miss a media session kiss and lick my wife's dirty feet....:global (25):
Bowles vs Rex? No contest Rex hands down a better HC. Rex 2 AFC Championship games, and all Jets Players played hard for Rex. Bowles hasnt won anything & Players do not play hard for him and dont respect Bowles in any way. Bowles needs to go just like any bad boss that employees dont work hard for or respect. I never did care about what players and coaches do in their spare time legally away from the game. Licking feet and all. Rex stuck it to Bowles last year knocking Jets out of Playoffs when Rex players stepped up and beat us.
