Sorry, we're over our quota already. We need more Mets fans.
I don't care about more fans. I just want more wins. 6 straight losing seasons is enough.

I'm a Yankee fan, but I see the Mets as being "this close" to having a dominant 5+ Years run. Their young starting pitching is the envy of baseball. Harvey, Syndergard, DeGrom and Matz, wholly chit, we could be looking at a run like the Braves had in the 90's. All the Mets need to do is add another bat or two and they are going to be lethal.I don't care about more fans. I just want more wins. 6 straight losing seasons is enough.

Gold, I'm gonna take this conversation to the Mets thread in the other forum, I'll respond there.I agree with you about the future. But you have to understand my frame of mind right now. I have been sitting on the couch for the last 5 hours, watching 15 innings of baseball in which the Mets are 1-21 with runners in scoring position. I am not sure how they even scored a run today. Its been painful to watch.

Speaking of human garbage

You're right, it does, only the Mets GM back then was a moron who traded Seaver and Nolan Ryan.Reminds me a bit of '69.![]()
If they let this pitching go to waste because they won't pay for some impact bats, that would be criminal.Ownership would never allow the payroll to approach nine figures. Never happen.
This is going to be a great pitching staff and an opportunity missed, because ownership won't actually support those pitchers by investing in the offense.
Yanks are overzealous when it comes to the market. Mets are gunshy, at least since Madoff.
Missed what happened........... but, this place should be a fun destination for Jets fans, and fans of other teams to visit to talk football, as well as make use of the other forums to get to know one another better. It's understandable that at times things can get heated..........however respect is very important and everyone should make the effort not to cross the line. Also, to come here with the sole purpose of instigating and agitating without contributing anything meaningful is a poor decision to say the least.
Ha, sounds like a line from GIJOEI suspect one way or the other Sg will be back
Never apologizeI hesitated to respond when the topic was broached for exactly that reason, I knew this wasn't the forum for it, so I should have let it pass without comment, thats my mistake and I apologize for it, and you can feel free to delete my post if you wish, I won't take any offense to it.
I would like a moderator with a little more professionalism!Last night the exchange between sg3 and I was unnecessary and should have been kept private.
That will never happen to anyone else. He was a special circumstance.
Honestly the most important part of this board is to not be a troll and try to cause fights with our other members.
All it does is make it difficult for our mods to monitor this board.
Best,
Elias

Honestly, we are adults, we shouldn't need to be warned to not attack people because we disagree with their ideas.
That being said, if anyone disagrees with me, I'll kick their as!

I'm not apologizing for my opinion, cuz, just for the forum I chose to express it in. I know there's a separate forum for that kind of discussion and I should have used it. But my POV is something I never apologize for. If its not PC, so be it.Never apologize

Seaver was traded in 77 because the Mets didn't want to pay him (some things never changeDidn't know that. But in '69 Ryan was pretty erratic. Can't say trading him was bonehead at that time. And Seaver wasn't traded to the Chisox until when? Around 1980?
