Did Taiwan Jones do enough to warrant consideration for 53, or does he have another year on PS? Gotta admit, I was impressed with his ability in pass defense as I didn't think he had it in him.

Taiwan Jones showed up whereas Julian Stanford was basically incognito all game...

TJ is known for his l.o.s. play not so much coverage ability which he put on showcase last night, it has to be a discussion that he earned a spot...

TB says you earn your spot, and TJ earned it this preseason...

Kembrell Thompkins

I like Bostick alot. I feel he can definetly turn into a solid Tight end for us at the end of the day that can actually catch and hold onto the ball unlike Kellen Davis.

Freddie Bishop can become a Cameron Wake, just needs a little time to adapt to the NFL game.

Jeremy Ross has that experience we need at Returner. Cant just place all of our eggs in Jalin Marshal who is just a rook.

Julian Stanford is a kid who i felt has a high motor and can become lethal on special team and would add very good depth at MLB.

Thompkins to me is an extreme wild card to make it. With the emergence of all these amazing studs at WR in Peake and Anderson, i dont know if Kembrell makes it. Though it would be tough to let go of him financially given he has guarantees.

what guarantees... excerpt from my post...

Why it wouldn't cost them any salary cap space

Yes, the Jets signed Thompkins to a one-year, $1.671 million tender contract. But a closer inspection of his contract's details — provided to NJ Advance Media by a league source — reveals none of that money is guaranteed.

Which bodes well for the Jets, if they want to cut Thompkins.

Teams typically do not guarantee restricted free agent tender contracts. Sometimes they do, but not usually. So the Jets would create $1.671 million salary cap space by cutting Thompkins.

The only other money in Thompkins' contract is a $5,850 workout bonus that he has already received — and that already counts toward the Jets' 2016 cap.

If Thompkins is on the Jets' roster this season, his cap figure would be $1,676,850 — his base salary for the tender, plus that workout bonus.
