If I had to choose a plan that would not break the bank, I would try to trade Wilson during the offseason. Seeing what JD did with both Adams and Darnold, I believe he could maximize return for him. Let Flacco walk. I would then re-sign White, sign someone like Minshew, and draft a mid-round project. To me, a Hendon Hooker in the third makes a lot of sense, if he was available. Assuming no real market forms for him, keep Streveler for the practice squad.

One year wonders am done with. Want someone who understands what defenses are presenting them pre snap. Yes it can be taught but we have struck out over and over you may be okay with that but our scheme banks on a pocket passer that can move the pocket but will be discipline to play for the next down rather take unforeseeable chances putting our top rated defenses in short fields after bone headed mistakes every time the ball is in their hands.

Shoot me, but we seen when the QB is inside the pocket making proper reads even if it is check downs the offense gets into rhthym quicker. The OL needs to be more steady and healthier to have chemistry to help control the line of scrimmage. With a dual QB like ZW even Darnold the OL built was not ready or capable to sustain blocks, that is on fit for scheme and inability of the QB to read the defense and quickly rid the ball to the proper target and push off script plays putting himself in danger and forcing the ball which lead into turnovers.

McKee has enough athleticism to move the pocket and run for 1st downs scrambling. He also has multiple years behind center at the college level playing against top rated defenses and defenders to be consider a candidate for any team and earn a starting role. We do not need to swing and miss again our defense is ready to compete we need to allow the skill players to be the main and get them the ball which in turn allows them to be the players they are. Do not need a hero ball mentality under center. The top 5 QBs have not proved anything and should stay in school to improve their overall game but that is me a former QB speaking.

I considered this guy but his age was a stumbling block for me . This guy is older than most guys on his team and if he has to sit for 2 years his window gets even shorter.

Can’t get a handle on Will Levis at all.

LaFleur not going anywhere. Saleh needs steady QB play not a what if that he keeps having to bench because the locker room has no faith in. Need not want. A pocket QB nowadays has some mobility unlike yester years. Our team no matter the coaching scheme we're able to sustain a rushing attack with a good defense, no reason to be creative with the signal caller. Get a game manager that can make all throws. Accuracy over Strong Arm. Someone that can recognize what the defenses are showing to make the correct protection calls. Understand do I have time to scan the field going through my progressions. Or do I have to throw to the hot route or check down because the protection or set is unable to protect this play.

You need a more athletic Mike White

Keep White
Keep Wilson because you don't have much of a choice. Since he'll be here, see if you can fix his psyche.
Dump Flacco because he shouldn't have made the final roster for this season.
Streveler dump
Sign a solid veteran
Draft a developmental QB in the middle rounds

Handing the Jets a QB is like handing Lenny Small (Of Mice and Men) a rabbit. Not in the same way that George did but we need to get rid of Lenny Small.

You can't spend the #2 pick on a project guy when you have achieved as little as the Jets. The first time the starting QB falters the fans would be howling to see the guy who was your first draft pick. How many other top 10 draft pick QBs have ridden the pine? If he can't start he isn't a top 10 pick.

I suspect that he was shell-shocked from the 2021 patriots game and hasn't yet recovered. Before his injuries, he was playing through his mistakes like Steve Young suggested. He was doing that before he got injured in 2021 and had to miss 4 games.

I heard the 49ers may try to offload Lance because Purdy has done so well. I also expect Jimmy to stay.
Lance would be intriguing….. but he doesn’t fit the LaFluer system. I think we will get a very clear picture of the next QB based on if LaFluer stays or gets canned. If he stays, its a Carr type QB. If he goes, then its anyones guess dependent of who the next OC is and his system

My last options for the Jets QB room in 2023 include :

Signing Jimmy G in free agency provided he wants to be here .
Continuing the development of one Zach Wilson.
Re-sign one Mike White in free agency provided he accepts a qualifying offer.

Add a developmental prospect either via the draft late or as an UDRFA for the practice squad.

With this plan I keep and sign Q Williams, then draft the best OT available in round 1 and the center Stromberg from Arkansas.
