By early evening on Sunday, we will begin the pre-FA shopping period. Cap casualties, Mock Drafts, re-signing of players, and who might we trade to get draft picks. I think (correct me if I am wrong) we have all our Draft picks except #6. Going to Jags for Robinson.

Smart move by Salah and Douglas to sit Robinson so he would not get his prescribed yardage in giving up a 5th Rd pick to the Jags. Instead we're giving them our 6th Rd pick.

Everyone is thinking about the QB's we need to sign. Have you all thought where we are going to get the $$$$ to sign them. We have to cut or trade some players. We also have to sign "Q" to a large extension. We only have 15 million in available cap space.

I would also think about cutting TE Uzomah who makes 10+ Mil. and restructure, trade or make a June 1st cut of MLB Mosley with his 22.5 million cap hit. Even though Mosley was a big part of the Defense, 22.5 million is a steep price to pay for his services. Along with cutting Lawson Berrios, Mann, Whitehead, Ash. Davis, McGovern, and either cutting and or trading WR G. Davis. JFM taking a pay cut. We can clear nearly 80 - 90 million in cap space. Not to mention if we can do anything with LG Tomlinson.

We still have to replace all those players, but I agree with curing them especially Mosley.

The Jets aren't paying me enough money to make these decisions so I'm just going to let the guy, JD, who is getting paid to make these decisions do his job. I'll either be happy or unhappy with the results but at my age I can live with that. I'm more concerned with who the new OC is going to be than I am with player moves right now anyway.

By cutting Lawson, we have good young, cheap (except for Bryce Huff) depth behind him. The FS/SS position will cost if we dip into FA. Punter can be had with a late pick or what's left over in the Draft. McGovern's replacement and a Left Tackle can be taken in the Draft with the first pick and the 4th pick. 2nd and 3rd pick can be used on either a MLB, OLB, WR, DT or OL. All this and of course paying for an established QB.

I know the ‘Brian Dabolls don’t grow on trees but his reclamation of Daniel Jones is nothing short of phenomenal. Goes to show how critical the right coach is. Jones was thought of in the same vein as Wilson until BD got hold of him. That’s why I hate giving up on young talented players. Go ahead and crucify me. 🫣

as far as wilson, he has been historically awful.. it happens & it's OK to say/admit it when it does..

The reason Zach Wilson is so bad is: He was taken with the 2nd overall pick. What other Jets were taken with the 2md overall pick. Lam Jones, Blair Thomas, Zach Wilson. I rest my case.

Lol, ofcourse you would think that! Gotta give Greeny his props. He’s a well educated man, very successful sports reporter/journalist and a die-hard Jets fan. Being a Jets fan does take ALOT away from his intelligence but he still is the guy! As for his list, I don’t totally agree but he’s on the right track. A-Rod would give this team instant success, as long he can stay healthy and invested! I wouldn’t at all be upset if the Jets landed Rodgers.

First off, I think Jackson and Rogers are cost prohibitive. Not saying it can't be figured out how to do it. I know it can and JD is good at that sort of thing, but these tricky finance deals often come back and bite the team in the ass down the road. Carr would be, in my estimation the most logical choice followed by Garoppolo. I think Carr actually wants to come here and his no trade clause makes it his choice.
