Lets face it ... Drafting QB's not working out to well for us .... Not sure in today's day & age you can grow and groom a QB in New York.
Need to bite the bullet .... Jimmy Garoppolo should be signed to be our 2023 starting QB

Who’s played better in SF, Jimmy G or Trey Lance? The 49ers are rolling right now with Jimmy G. Why does everyone assume he’ll be available next year? You can have two QB’s in this league. In fact, it’s advisable.
I think I heard something about his contract allowing him to be free to leave next year. So it’s up to him
Never understood the desire by SF to get rid of Jimmy GQ? The guy can play. Lance is still a "prospect". I watched the game the other night and he was slinging the ball all over the field. That's something I wish our QB could do. If he is truly available? I'd sign him in a heartbeat. And make him the starter.
I live in CA. A couple of years ago, 49er fans were rounding up the torches and pitchforks to get Jimmy Garrapolo out of SF after he “killed any chance of the 49ers winning a SB. The defense is awesome but it’s Garrapolo killing us!”

It is entirely possible the Jets have a somewhat younger Jimmy G already on their roster, a veteran who was not hugely touted, has had doubters, but gets results. Why invest in Garoppolo when White could theoretically be the same guy for cheaper, and younger? Then trade Wilson (don't laugh, Douglas got a 2nd, 4th, and 6th for Darnold), sign a veteran backup, and either 2023 or 2024, draft a QB who can develop during White's contract.
If White proves himself by the end of this year to be the real deal, in with this 1,000 percent!

Garapolo, Carr, Goff, could shake loose. With the Jets history, they would probably sign someone like Leaf or Tebow.
