There is a new twist to the "Fire John Idzik" billboards, which have been popping up across North Jersey.

The latest board, on Route 3 right outside MetLife Stadium, not only calls for owner Woody Johnson to clean house, starting with Idzik, the Jets embattled general manager, or sell the franchise and let the next owner scrub it down.

you know i really don't mind this everyone knows these days that public opinion can change alot of things. I doubt woody will sell but you have to believe he doesn't like getting embarrassed in front of his rich friends.

I was hoping with the Idzik hiring that Woody would have changed his ways and stepped back. Gone were the days of suggesting to trade for the Tebows of the world. But after finding out yesterday that the GM search was conducted similar to a corporate hiring, I think he needs to reevaluate the way he handles this organization.

Nice. Wouldn't that be great.

it would be nice if he wanted to get into football wouldn't it.

How do you think trump would be as a owner?

How about a Green Bay situation and we buy the team and break the stadium contract? I really don't like either of those candidates as they are both paper millionaires/billionaires and the NFL want real "old" money.

I wonder how the ownership in GB works. Do the fans actually have a say in the operations or is it all bs? Who gets revenues?

I really don't know? I know the shares they sold to build suites for rich people was all BS as the shares were worthless, but everyone buying them knew that prior to purchase. I can understand not having much of a say in day-to-day operations but the stadium and management $$ contracts should be voted on.

The fans have no say in anything the team does. They don't even get a small dividend. The team is run by a 7 member committee, who make a football and business decisions the way an owner does.

In 1960 Pete Rozelle added an amendment to the NFL constitution known as the Green Bay rule saying no team could be a non profit community owned entity.

So the idea of buying the Jets is out the door. Sorry

Well, I'm not against making a profit. $0.01 is a profit, after free beer & steak day. Everything can be dealt with.:D

Just looked it up. To tack on to what FL said, they have a 7 Executive Committee team who is voted in by he Board of Directors, who in turn are voted in by the stockholders. The Executive Committee makes all the business decisions similar to how an owner would. They hire the GM and they entrust him with all football moves. As for the profits these go right back into the corporation and hoard the cash in case the team has a down year. They don't pay dividends to any stockholders. The Packers have been limiting the rights to these stockholders each time they issued more. They seem pretty worthless now. I guess their setup isn't as cool as it sounds.

In any case, that is probably one of the best run organization football operations wise right now. Their GM, Ted Thompson, knows how to build through the draft. They rarely spend in free agency. This past season was the first time they signed more than five players in free agency since 2006. But everything looks better when you have Aaron Rodgers as your QB.

Well I guess all you have to do now is come up with the $1,200,000,000 the team is estimated to be valued at now. :) Good luck

I think the set-up works because the fans don't care to make personal money for themselves they love their team so much I think they are sold out for the next 20 years or something.
