New ESPN OTL Story on Patriots History of Cheating/Spygate

Joking aside, what would be most interesting would be if some low level guy kept copies of some of the materials. Probably not tapes, but perhaps notes derived from the tapes. That's the way a lot of wrongdoing unravels.

With or without copies of tapes or notes, there is an expose waiting to be written and $$ waiting to be made for someone who was involved but now decides to tell the story.

was reading some news reports on this and started wondering - were any laws broken? when billions are spent and bet on these games, if someone cheats along the lines alleged is there an argument that there is fraud or other violations? federal crimes (RICO?), state crimes (common law fraud)? I'm wondering.

I always hated the Dolphins in the 80's. But I respected Marino and Shula
I always hated the Bills in the early 90's. But I respected Kelly and Levy

I don't respect the Patsies whatsoever. Their titles and success are hollow to anyone outside of NE.

One day this will all be exposed and it will be the biggest cheating scandal since the Black Sox. There are people who are being paid to keep quiet. Once Kraft croaks, I wonder if they all squirm to the surface.

There are laws against industrial espionage so I'll assume some laws were broken. What is needed is an aggressive federal prosecutor targeting them.

Nah wouldn't matter, a revisionist federal judge would just throw it out.

Let's see...both ESPN and SI have long pieces recounting similar stories about the Pats' culture of cheating. I'm tired of hearing how it's all envy. Nobody is envious of the most corrupt sports franchise in North America.

You can bet that NBC will be happy as can be talking about Brady being back in the fold Thurs night. Everybody's All American will be on the field, and that's great for ratings.

They'll be no talk of what a cheat he is. It's how NBC rolls.

No doubt part of the reason Mike Florio has become the propaganda wing for Kraft ever since the schedule came out.

Pffftt !
The Owners are IN on it !!!
A FULL 50% - HALF - 17 to be exact, at HYATT™'s last tally - are from shady backgrounds with not-so-discreet linkys to Organized Crime syndicates.
DeBartelo may be the worst of the lot, being that his father inherited the Meyer Lansky/Santos Trafficante Mob- money laundering banking empire in Florida, after the infamous mobsters' deaths - but the Rooney family is STILL operating electronic slots and racetracks in direct violation of NFL by-laws stating that no person associated with the NFL shall involve themselves with any persons or organizations with connections to gambling.

Remember how Vito Corleone's Family (aka - NYC mob boss, Frank Costello, in real life), was so powerful in "The Godfather" movies because they owned all the politicians, cops, & judges?
That was when mob money was counted in tens of millions, not tens of BILLIONS.
What judge, cop, or politician can refuse mob money when the alternative is ventilation disease for them or their family members?

Interesting side note:
Evil-EL is the son of former New York Senator Charles Goodell.
What are the odds that the distinguished Senator from New York was NOT in the pocket of one of the 5 families and his son is NOT now the Commissioner of the NFL as a reward for his many years of loyal service - following in the footsteps of Italian descended Paul Tagliabue of Jersey City, New Joisey?

Also of interest is Tags' predecessor, Pete Roselle - who worked as a student publicist for the USF (San Francisco) Dons athletic department, before going to work for the newly relocated Irishman Dan Reeves' LA Rams.
Was that an insider mob joke?
The Rams were eventually transferred to Carroll Rosenblum, a Jewsh American mobster who was
a high roller with a major interest in a mobbed-up Bahamian casino, & owned the Baltimore Colts and Los Angeles Rams at different times.

The meeting at The Breakers, in Florida, where ONLY Owners and HCs were allowed to attend? (Not even GMs?)
Doesn't that remind you of the infamous Apalachin Meeting scene, of all the mob bosses, hosted by "Joe the Barber" Barbara on November 14, 1957 - where FBI agents were walking around the parking lot outside the Mob Boss Summit, copying down license plate numbers of cars in attendance?
