You're correct. We don't have a round 3 pick, right now anyway, but I wouldn't have a problem with him being the pick IF the Jets take a QB wherever they decide to do that.
Sawyer Robertson is another guy they should consider and He should be available in the 4th and maybe even in the 5th rd.
His stock is only going up so by draft time he might be taken sooner.
With these 4th and 5th round guys it's how the draft is flowing and that’s why its hard to predict when they will go.
Sometimes even in the 3rd rd you're scratching your head with some of these picks.

Still better than Fields and we hired the Stanford HC as OC so it should be seamless.
I know we don't have a third round pick but can easily obtain one. I figure a 2nd round trade down nets a swap of seconds and a third.
Glenn visited Sanchez in Jail. He has Mean Machine poised to beat the guards next week.

Robertson is really inconsistent with poor accuracy. 4-5th round would be the highest he sould go. Going to need at least a year , more likely 2 before he becomes a starting caliber QB.

Lots of over thrown balls. Lots of short throws bouncing off the ground in front of his receivers and lots of passes his receivers had to track and make significant adjustments on. It's correctable, majority is due to his base and sloppy footwork. Fact
He will need significant time to develop.
He also needs to learn to read a defense and go through progressions. Fact
Muscle memory takes time to develop. Currently he gets sloppy under pressure or when he has to move. That has to change and it takes lots of reps before the good habits replace the bad . If he isn't sat for a full year or better 2, he will revert to his bad habits and fail.

The cheatahs were never as good aswethought but they just kept winning
let’s remember their first SB. Without the tuck rule they wouldn’t have even been in it in the first place. Defense shut down the Rams in the SB and when the Rams finally took the lead they immediately fucked up kicking off out of bounds giving the cheatahs a short field and brady kicked the game winning field goal
when brady played Seattle type defenses, he lost too
this cheatahs team is missing Scarnechia so they'll probably never have a brady type o line, but they have the same offensive coordinator and Vrabel is no slouch. He learned from belichick.
cheatahs will be better next year. Not worse. They'll Add talent and play with a chip on their shoulder

Yes he is not perfect but He fits the bill as a Reich type QB and is a Project.
I don't share your belief that Reich will be one and done.
If they have success on Offense and the defense still looks pitiful Reich will be the HC in the interm if a change is made.
If they are successful with Reich as HC I don't think He will hang them up. He may but its not written in stone.
If by some miracle this Team improves next Season it won't be because of Glenn.
Furthermore Sawyer's main problem is He has too much Arm and thinks He can gun it in there and make the play. Kinda like Favre used to do.
A lot of his issues are highly coachable.
The Rams love him. His footwork needs work, he does have good pocket awareness based on his film. A raw talent that needs to learn his craft from an experinced offensive mind.

Any HC is only as good as his staff and roster.
I don't get your fantasy of Reich becoming next HC. He's a good OC but sucks as HC.

Woody hired Reich to help Glenn. Or save his job as has been reported.
Reich assembled the Offensive coaching staff as any incoming OC would.
Im sure he went to Glenn and said "Yeah I'm gonna hire this guy okay?"

If the Offense improves and the Defense tanks, especially if they go Defense in the 1st rd Glenn will be toast. Guaranteed.
