The Jets have traded one of their fourths (112) and a sixth (218) for Morgan Moses and a later fourth (134).
It's a very good trade. Not a great trade, but a typical JD trade for the Offensive line.
I feel like he has played for us before and we didn't have to trade two picks to keep him. JD is just not a smart GM.The Jets have traded one of their fourths (112) and a sixth (218) for Morgan Moses and a later fourth (134).
How do you figure? I see Tippman (22), AVP (24), Simpson (26), Moses (33), LT ?. If LT is a rookie then 22?Jets will have the oldest OL in the NFL next year.
LT will not be 22. It's going to be the oldest tackles in the league is what I meant to say. Leave it to JD to trade for a guy he let walk. Can't wait for him to trade for Huff in a decade. I don't hate the player it's just stupid to let go a player only to trade back for him.How do you figure? I see Tippman (22), AVP (24), Simpson (26), Moses (33), LT ?. If LT is a rookie then 22?
The guy performed quite well for us, and people were raving about him with the Ravens. He went from being a big loss for the Jets to a bad trade when reacquiring him. The sacks are indeed problematic, but part of that is for the same reason Simpson had so many holds. You have a QB in Baltimore who uses his legs all the time to try to make something out of nothing, and holds onto the ball for an eternity.9 sacks allowed. You call that a very good trade? Come on Sack, Wake up!! The Ravens got rid of their two (2) worst Offensive linemen. Guess who picked them up? Non other than the worst GM when it comes to picking Gems for their Offensive line
There is no way with that young interior that the Jets' OL will be the oldest in the league. How do you figure? I see Tippman (22), AVP (24), Simpson (26), Moses (33), LT ?. If LT is a rookie then 22?
Here are some stats that show the totality of Moses last year:9 sacks allowed. You call that a very good trade? Come on Sack, Wake up!! The Ravens got rid of their two (2) worst Offensive linemen. Guess who picked them up? Non other than the worst GM when it comes to picking Gems for their Offensive line
Or he wasn't good enough to keep, but now good enough to trade for.The guy performed quite well for us, and people were raving about him with the Ravens. He went from being a big loss for the Jets to a bad trade when reacquiring him. The sacks are indeed problematic, but part of that is for the same reason Simpson had so many holds. Well, when he went to the Ravens, he signed for just over $5 million per year for three years, which is more than he signed for when he became a Jet. I think he was somewhere in the $3+ million range on a one-year deal.Or he wasn't good enough to keep, but now good enough to trade for.
Again I don't hate the player, I just don't like the trade. Dropping 20 + spots in the 4th round could be costly. There is some decent talent in that round.Well, when he went to the Ravens, he signed for just over $5 million per year for three years, which is more than he signed for when he became a Jet. I think he was somewhere in the $3+ million range on a one-year deal.
