look at the yankees..

The original picture was posted a few years back by some guy who designed them. Wasn't an official NFL proposal. Just fan art pretty much.

I get that Jet fans want to keep it original but I mean DAMN can we not upgrade a classic look. Regardless of what anyone thinks they are indeed plain (not ugly, plain). I'm sure the players would appreciate if we spiced things up one year. "Look good, feel good, play good". Players would get that extra little boost on the field. Damn, can we st least put a Jet somewhere on the logo, helmet or uniform. Personally I wear a lot of Jets gear and I always get compliments on my retro 80s gear. Mind you I live in Texas where Jet fans are slim pickings. Just seems odd that no one would even want the pants upgraded from just a stripe.

Agreed! These uniforms their wearing now aren't bad looking at all but they are too damn plain. I'm one who has always wanted the Jets to add the color black into their uniforms. They can stick with the unis they have now just add black in there some way. If you look around the league I believe there are only two teams that go with two colors, the Jets and Colts. That's ridiculous! Yeah yeah yeah I know most Jets fans or it seems most want to stick with the classic Green and White and even go back to the 69' championship unis but DAMN! Every other team has at least three colors in their unis, some have four. Its called progression people. For those who want to say don't mess up a good thing and compare our classic unit or colors to teams like the Yankees, Packers, Raiders or Colts, it doesn't make since to me because those teams have won at least one SB since 69 and we have won nothing. Maybe its time for a change!
I think the current jerseys really suck. What I really hate is that cloth that goes from the interior of the front of the jersey over to the armpits along a curving arc. I won't buy another jersey until that monstrosity goes.

I don't think black will ever be incorporated due to how close we would look to the Eagles. But given that Nike does all of the NFL gear now it's not farfetched to expect a change at some point. They'll never go from the original look but they'll find a way to put their own spin on it (if they do). As far as the Oregon "atrocities" that's the first negative comment I've heard on their uniforms. Most of my younger cousins always want to watch Oregon solely because of what they might be wearing next. They'll never go that far with the Jets though.
