every team has their big board with exceptions...
have to think these are the top five prospects that if they fall to the No. 20th pick would warrant no discussion in selecting them...
1) Jack Conklin, OT from Michigan State
2) Eli Apple, CB from Ohio State
3) Leonard Floyd, OLB from Georgia
4) LaQuoan Treadwell, WR from Ole Miss
5) Ezekiel Elliot, RB from Ohio State
Now of the those five both Elliot and Conklin should be gone in the top 15 leaving speculation if one of the other three will fall to the Jets at No. 20... All three are an immediate need, with future concerns in play this year... Some speculation that Floyd will be gone as early as the Giants pick No. 10 and no later than our pick at No. 20... Corner Eli Apple was a early 2nd round pick that has climbed into top 15 consideration and would be a great value due to his age and skill set... With Brandon Marshall entering likely his final year of his career and Eric Decker on the tail end of his that investing in a receiver to be the heir apparent for either one of them would be a smart move while providing a clear cut 3rd starting receiver behind those two...
Two prospects that aren't likely to fall but are considered the exception or above the top five big board have to be:
1) Jalen Ramsey, FS from Florida State
2) Myles Jack, LB from UCLA
Now there is also talk about QB Paxton Lynch from Memphis who oddly enough is a developmental quarterback at best... Rated a early 2nd round prospect getting first round consideration could be putting too much pressure on this kid to be an immediate success... Lynch has the size and strength with good mobility but looks like he has a long road ahead to compete for a starting job...
Should the Jets draft this kid, he will be at least one year behind Bryce Petty in development...
