And Fitz threw a typical Fitz INT. Petty has played in 4 games and Fitz has sucked consistently for 11 or 12 years.

At least the Jets are moving the ball with Fitz. Petty looked like a deer in the headlights. Fitz isn't having the same problems escaping the pocket and getting the ball out. He's just been victimized by a couple of players who can't catch. If ASJ catches the TD, and Peake catches another perfect pass by Fitz, this is a different game.
Not a good idea. That would end the game and I'd lose my excuse for not going to the in laws just yet
In Petty's (weak) defense, it was pouring rain out here and he said that he never has played in the rain
Petty looked bad but he needs time. We were robbed of development time for him. He should have been put in much earlier in the season. By now, he would have figured out the kinks on how to read a defense

The odd thing is what is making me mad about this game. It is not that the team is uncompetitive, I've seen enough of that over the decades to be numb to the quality issue but they keep showing long shots of the stadium and I keep thinking how we are stuck with the strip mine that they built for the Giants while we could have had a great stadium like these folks got.

I'm beginning to see why Bowles stayed with Fitz. Petty looks extremely overwhelmed. I don't know what he's waiting for. Yes the o-line is thin, but he cannot stand back there like Brady, waiting for something to develop. He's gotta get the ball out sooner. Same problem he's had over three games.
I'm not giving up on him, but so far, I'm not too impressed.
