The NFL offseason hits another gear this week with the NFL Scouting Combine. There are three weeks to go before free agency and two months before the NFL draft, but rumors, reports and whispers will be flowing in this Midwest city this week.

The Jets arrive with plenty of questions to answer and roster holes to fill. Both general manager Joe Douglas and coach Adam Gase are scheduled to speak to the media on Tuesday afternoon.

The Jets brain trust is searching for a way to end the team’s nine-year playoff drought and stretch of four straight losing seasons.

Hopefully they can pick up some top talent in free agency because we don't have enough draft picks to fill the many existing holes. It sounds like Winters is going to be here at the start of the season but he just hasn't been able to stay healthy. There's a lot of "O" line talent in this draft so they might be able to pick up a player to groom for his spot when the inevitable happens. So much needed.............so little resources.

Mixed emotions about Winters. Tough guy who when healthy is a decent player, problem is staying healthy. Seems as though JD wants to keep him around but at a cap friendly salary reduction. Guys like Winters and Beachum are the type of guys who JD wants in the locker room provided there are young talented guys behind them ready to start.
