When we hired Rex, Ozzie Newsome warned that he will take a CB with every draft pick if you let him.
Agreed, I had to fight back the tears on that one, very moving.
Jim Kelly announced the Bills' draft pick. When he came out, huge standing ovation. He teared up. Entire place, fans of EVERY team, going crazy and chanting his name. You can tell it meant the world to him to be there.
He thanked everyone what he called his NFL family for allvtheir prayers and thoughts while he was sick last year at this time not even knowing if he would be alive now to be on stage at the draft.
I know he was off the board when we picked not like Marino but I always wished he could have been a Jet. He is a real class act.

my good friend lives in east brady pa where kelly was from he has a baseball field there named after him.

He was briefly a member of my favorite professional football team, even if he never played a snap for them.
When the Houston Gamblers merged with the New Jersey Generals, Jim Kelly would have been the Generals' QB if the USFL hadn't folded.
