It would not shock me if Giants, under new general manager goes hard for Seahawks QB - Wilson. They have the draft capital to pull it off, and the Hawks are going nowhere as currently constructed. Just MHO.

The Browns did it and along the way the fans wanted Mayfield cut . The Fish did it and along the way the fans wanted Tua cut . The Jets are attempting it and viola, the fans think the QB stinks . Those teams are all fighting for the playoffs yearly while continuing to build so I would say we’re trending right .
It’s not the same as before because we’re not spending big money on old soldiers coming here to die . We’re building with youth that actually looks like it’s improving weekly while getting rid of contracts signed by predecessors .
and lots of dead money from the cap...have you seen what we're still "paying" Johnson and Bell dead money to cap-wise?
FTR, i am not opposed to signing "young" soldiers in FA at WR or TE to their second contracts...let other teams train those positions with high "bust" ratios, and we get experienced playmakers...but keep stock piling home grown blockers and tacklers and sackers.

again too early to be debating what ifs, lets lose out the season then go from there...
trade both of our firsts back 5 spots at a time, and acquire our trading partners 2nds and 3rds each time...that would be a stretch to get that many 2nds and 3rds, but we could get a ton of them...possibly up to a combination of 10 second and third round picks in the same draft.
we can complete the rebuild in one year.
we wouldn't be a contender next year, because we'd be pretty bad to start, but we'll be fun to watch at the end of the year.
What 1369 said. I want a WR and an OT/OG or Zero in the 1st round . We don’t need the #1 pick to acquire those and we can trade down with one of those picks and still get what we need .

I'm not sure how you come to that conclusion. The NFC has seems to have more respectable teams than he AFC. And even they didn't, it wouldn't diminish my argument since both teams are 7-7.

the nfc has the top teams in each division way above the rest of the division except add the Rams and 49ers in the west. the rest of the teams are not close.
in the afc everyone except for the few really shitty teams like us are very close and competitve with each other. almost anyone could make the playoffs
nfc is meaningless cause the nest anyone can do is lose the championship game to tompabay

Fuck all this trading back shit. Draft good players and get some studs in FA. Rebuilds don't take this long. Imagine your house being destroyed in a fire or tornado, but every year the contractor just says I traded your new countertops for the chance to get some better countertops and then drops those countertops. At the rate JD is going its going to take 10 years to rebuild. As a fan I'm sick of it. Saying you are going to build through the draft gives him a built in excuse. 5 fuckin' wins in 2 years. Thats not rebuilding. No other shitty Jets GM has been that bad in their first 2 years. The OL that was so important is still terrible with only one true stud. I get it all GM's miss, but JD shouldn't get that leeway. Winning matters.
