Could never happen, wouldn't be legal.Cap State to State is different because of no State tax. So Players choose non tax States getting paid more money like Miami vs New Jersey. NFL could make this fair money for all teams by adjusting cap State by State taxes to make Cap equal for all Teams. So Cap for Dorkfins is 180 Cap it would be 210 for Jets to make even money paid to players. This unfair cap causes teams like Jets to have to over pay to equal no tax States causing Jets Cap issues. Id like to see NFL fix this.
I did not know this about the tax assessed to players and where the games played makes a difference. I certainly do not envy any accountant that does the books for any NFL player.Could never happen, wouldn't be legal.
Also remember players pay income tax to every state they play in so the Dolphins pay NY state for the game check they receive when they play away vs jets plus 7 other games based on schedule.
Does the league then factor in sales tax? Property tax? The Rams, 59ers, Raiders dont have problems signing players.
Winning games consistently will be the only thing that will change the narrative
