Chicago Bears: Mitch Trubisky

Mitch has plenty of upside, but the one issue is there isn't enough tape since he is a one year wonder. His throwing mechanics aren't polished and will need some tweaking. Precognition skills are still maturing whereas his football IQ isn't where it should be at this point. Understanding pre snap and post snap coverage is underwhelming at this point but he is a student of the game and if he puts in the work this will be a forgotten negative in his game. Throwing on the move his accuracy dips, and ball security will become a problem if he doesn't rectify it.

San Francisco 49ers: Patrick Mahomes

Mahomes, who didn't start at quarterback until his junior season in high school, is a free thrower and looks like he is playing backyard football, relying more on timing and feel rather than mechanics or structure. He has above average arm strength with the creative mobility and growth potential for the NFL level, but was groomed in one of the most quarterback-friendly systems in college football and is inexperienced reading defenses, working through progressions and delivering concepts in the huddle. Although he is nowhere near ready for NFL snaps, Mahomes is an exciting player to watch compete and boasts the raw traits that are worth developing. This is the type QB, Shannahan should look to invest into to mold a volume passer into a legit franchise guy...

Houston Texans: DeShone Kizer

Out of the lot of quarterbacks taken on this list, Kizer may have the best chance to start day one... From a physical standpoint, Kizer checks all the boxes with his developed physique, impressive arm talent, natural athleticism and the flawless football character desired at the NFL level. However, he is still young in his development with most of his mistakes due to late decisions and careless throws outside of structure. While his film shows inconsistency in his decision-making and execution, Kizer also shows impressive throws and movements amidst the chaos that most college prospects struggle with...

Arizona Cardinals: Deshaun Watson

Unlike the other prospects, Watson has a bigger task at the next level coming from Clemson's offense which was a relatively simple one, frequently asking the quarterback to make simple underneath throws off of pre-determined reads. A team like Arizona with their veteran Carson Palmer would serve as the mentor and bridge to allow Watson a true competitor grow within the system...

For those wondering why the Jets are NOT matched up with anyone is because the prospect(s) we need are not in this draft... We could invest in another pick lets say:

Nathan Peterman from Pittsburgh (4th Round)

Peterman has an NFL quality arm. He is capable of driving the ball with added velocity with proper follow-through. Nathan is comfortable in the pocket with efficient movements to operate around the noise with his eyes elevated. He will need time to develop has the same issues that plagued our former veteran QB but he is young and there is time to rectify his deficiencies...

There isnt 1 QB or CB worthy of a top 10 Pick this year & many safer picks that JETS needs(RB-pass rusher). So Jets take a QB in 2nd round & try not to take a boom or bust 5 year project QB ranked from 6th round in 2nd. Even more important MM, dont buy into teams hype they put out there to get stupid GMs with high draft picks to take a pathetic player. Jets falls for this many times like last year. Golhston comes to mind & so many more HYPE draft picks by Jets GM's.
