Sometimes you have a bad team, sometimes you have a bad team that is entertaining. Sometimes you have a good or great team.

This year was not a good year (we won seven games HOW????) in-fact it was a terrible year IMO. It was not an entertaining year in anyway you look at it IMO. This was the sickest year I can imagine that we could have......What tops it off is we have the same cast of characters coming back to run the show.......It makes me sick. Why just a few....1) no real backup QB We all know this even my dog knows this.....no excuse JD. The OL do i need to say more??? Yes my dog knows this too. Play calling If you don't throw the ball into the endzone you can't score....Running etc.

May I add (please sit down for this) if we win it all next year I don't think i will be that excited. The 68 jets & 2008 Cards had some fun players to get behind. I really don't like Rodgers even if I agree with him on the S____. , I know winning will change my thinking but I am not a winning is all that counts type of guy, Yes, there are players I like on this team but not many,,,,,,, I hope this changes with this new year. Is this true with the cards not really as I don't like Murrey but I like many of the other players. I will add just like the Rockettes I do love our kickers & maybe three other players.

So I ask did anyone here get anything out of this season????(hangovers don't count) (besides 80% of the teams are all a draft away from being good, ) Maybe it is just me & this new game we have today.

There are lot of pretty girls out there but you marry the one you love. I guess in football I am married to the 68 Jets.

This season was not about Rodgers getting hurt. To me it was, " What the hell is that baby face non QB still playing for the Jets." All season, all I heard from Saleh was how Zach Wilson is going to be a great QB. Two years prior. All I heard was, how Becton was going to be a great LT. I also heard how we are going to win a Super Bowl. Last year, he said, No Doubt we are going to the playoffs. I have now learned, whatever Saleh says, expect the opposite.

Not a good year, and I don't understand anyone who says it was. The expectations were high, and they were doused early. We learned a lot this year. First and foremost, we learned that there is zero chance Zach can develop into any sort of NFL QB, at least not as a Jet. We learned that AVT has been more injury prone than he ever showed in college. We learned that a healthy Becton does not make for a good Becton. We learned that Lazard has been a drastic waste of money. We learned that Dalvin Cook...well, see Lazard, Allen. We learned that the guys who were brought in to provide depth behind the OL starters either weren't good enough or healthy enough.

Now, those few positives. Breece is back, and as his knee healed, he got even better. Tippmann has shown enough to suggest he is the team's center of the future. GW can reach 1,000 yards with practically anyone throwing to him. Carter Warren MIGHT have the potential to be something for this team, whether as a swing tackle or maybe a project to start as he develops. The 2022 defense was not a fluke, and the team has a solid long-term future on that side of the ball.

Good season? No, no, no. Some good things? Well, yes.

Breece was healed early. It took that dumbfuck Hackett until week 8 to realize Breece could catch balls out of the backfield. I said early on Hackett was a majority of the problem.

I think he got stronger as the season progressed. Yes, some of it was misuse by Hackett, who I am only interested in keeping because of Rodgers' comfort with him. But the patchwork line actually played a bit better in the last few games. Far too late, but it's something, at least.

That said, I think it's fair to point to both sides of the equation.

They Made a major mistake with the OL from TC on. Relying on vets passed their prime, and guys who shouldn't have been starting. Despite all of this, Breece had the Season He did. Special Talent. Draft Him an OL and watch the show.

Very disappointing season. The preseason hype was unprecedented. The first game was electric. At least for 4 plays. It ends with disgruntled young stars in Hall, Wilson and Gardner. More questions than answers and still no o line.
Lots of off season work to be done with a weak o line class in free agency. We have a center, AVT to hold down one of the guard spots until he goes back to the IR and not much else. JD is going to have to really work some trade magic if this team is going to compete next year.
Looks like the FO is content to run it back with the same coaching staff in place. At least the plan is to sign a veteran Back Up at QB.

I don't see how next year is going to be any better

The only ones with any connection to the subject that performed well this year were the posters here. Another year of some good insight, a few good laughs and a pleasing increase of music references

Something must change. Since it isn't going to be this team, I suggest that the broadcasts be reworked to make it at least some fun. Copy the MST3000 model. Skip the play by play and color guys (who all seem to suck now) and have three guys commenting. Gotta be some Jets fan equivalent of Crow out there somewhere

Great post. I'm only here--as a waning Jet "fan"--because of the laughs and camaraderie.

And I would have split my sides laughing watching Tom and Crow rip JD, Saleh, Zach and the rest of the incompetents to shreds.
