1. Steve McLendon was a beast out there today and looks like a brilliant signing. This is a guy who used to 2 Gap in Pittsburgh, so all he was asked to do was hold the point of attack for the linebackers. Huge kudos to Mac and Bowles for recognizing this kind of talent in a 1 Gap scheme. If McLendon is going to play like that all year, or even close, starting next week when Sheldon comes back this D-line is going to be every teams worst nightmare, and we're playing a base four man front now, even today we were mostly in four man fronts WITHOUT SHELDON, with the rookie UDFA, Lawrence Thomas getting a lot of action, so you know we're not going back to a base 3-4 when Sheldon comes back.

Thats your base front-four and its scary, especially if what we saw from McLendon is real.

2. Another thing we would all be talking about is what a terrific job Ben Ijalana did at right-tackle. Carlos Dunlap is a monster and he was mostly neutralized today. He had a tipped ball or two, but mostly it was a quiet day for Dunlap. This was a matchup I really feared, but the kid did a heck of a job. If he can continue to play at that level and Clady stays healthy, the O-line will not be the problem we imagined. Not sure how many snaps Qvale got at RT, I saw mostly Ijalana, but if I am slighting Qvale then he did a great job too. I'll be curious to see the snap count.

3. Jalin Marshall really flashed as a returner. I think we finally have a dynamic return man.

4. We FINALLY have a real NFL Punter who can kick you out of trouble.

The worst part is Revis is no longer a great CB. AJ Green caught 10 out of 10 targets with Revis covering him. It doesn't even matter if you help him anymore. Teams will be throwing all over us every single week. I guess Revis will be the highest paid safety next year which is ok because our safeties suck.

I haven't watched the game yet as I was en-route back from 'Battle of Bristol', but listened to the game. Sounded as though our DL could be downright scary, curious why we felt the need to blitz on 3 and longs. Regardless, that kind of stuff along with helping out CBs is fixable, so I'm not going to overreact. There were a bunch of positives from this game and none bigger than Leo Williams. Having him play alongside Mo, Sheldon and McClendon will give OL coaches nightmares.

I heard on the preshow that Green did a lot of track work in the offseason. At 6'5" the guy caught a bunch of shoe string catches that were impossible to cover. If Revis gets some safety help on that TD maybe the outcome is different. One close loss doesn't mean we are doomed.

Cant blame this one loss on any one Player. But I can BLAME Gailey for put our Players in very bad positions to succeed. Gailey doesnt play players to their strengths . Gailey always having a safety guy to dump ball off to for Fitz is good. Bad play calling puts Fitz in 3rd & long & that brings the Blitz & in turn causes Fitz to panic , as usual & dumps it off at the scrimmage line when we need 10yds. I cant stand that garbage. If we need 10yds pass it at least 9yds. Gaileys bad play calling & stupid trick plays at crucial points of the game lost this. The 5yd line & 3 passes to Marshall & only Marshall was STUPID! There was guys wide open but Fitz stared & seen only 1, & it cost us a TD.
