Character matters - as much as any other trait. Wilkerson could have a perennial Pro Bowler with his raw talent. Douglas believes that, and I'm thrilled we have a GM that finally gets it. The last person that got that was Mangini and he and Tannenbaum drafted some of the best players we had over the past decade. He had a few misses too (Vernon Gholston of course), but he also got All-Time greats like Mangold and D'Brick.

I'm very optimistic that Douglas can steer this organization and turn this roster into one that competes for a championship over time.
