This is why I hate drug addicts, they are totally unreliable and selfish muthaeffers who will eff-up a wet dream. I don't care what they do to themselves, but the damage they inflict is never limited to only themselves, they always wind up hurting the people around them too, starting with family and extending to anyone who is in a position where they have to depend on these self-centered narcissists. Thats why I DID NOT for one second buy his remorseful tweets following his suspension. I said at the time that I have ZERO confidence this guy won't eff-up again. I don't like to be cynical, but I've lived long enough to know that nothing short of a religious conversion or a similar character transforming epiphany can change guys like Sheldon Richardson. As my friend Teddy Atlas likes to say; people who are born round don't die square.

BTW I don't really mean that I hate drug addicts, just that I hate being in a position where we have to rely on one.

Its the same defiant tone I've come to expect from this guy, its hard for a narcissist to get humble and even fake humility.

He says he's grateful to the organization for sticking by him, the same organization he was threatening to bolt if they don't make him even richer than JJ Watt, and trust me, if by some miracle he gets his life in order and once again performs like a dominant player, he will be right back to demanding JJ Watt money or threatening to bolt. There will not be an ounce of gratitude for the organization standing by him. He's a self-centered, ego maniac.

Some of the Jets seasoned vets, or maybe Bruce, or his attorney should clarify exactly what not talking about his case means. So the next time he speaks to the media, he doesn't draw any additional negative attention to himself. The first interview should have been more tight lipped, for everyone there is looking for something to run with. He fell for it and the games that count haven't begun.

I hate to say it but I think sheldon is lost. Its over. You cant fix stupid.
have u read the details? First off hes a 24 year old dude who bought some 200k bentley. I understand he has money but a more well adjusted young man would have treated himself to a 6ok bmw. Then he outruns police and tries to hide. Then hes got a kid in the car with pot smoke coming out. Then he doesn't tell anyone and lets his family employer and fans find out this way. Wtf? If manziel is dumb dumb #1 sheldon is #2 .

Admitted in the hospital usually means they are concerned about a punctured lung. Not trying to scare anyone, but I did some boxing in my youth and thats the primary concern with broken ribs. Its not a good sign that they are keeping him overnight. Hairline fracture and they probably send him home. Or maybe I'm wrong, maybe they are just being cautious, I'm talking about my experience from 30+ years ago, could be a totally different protocol now.

Anyway, don't look for Smith to be much of a contributor this year, or at least not until the stretch run. Don't forget, he missed all of Mini Camp too. No Mini Camp and now no Training Camp for a rookie WR, its a huge setback.
