I hate it when coaches say they don't know the severity. I feel like it always ends up being back when they say that.

Yeah, I agree. Usually they are hoping against hope that the MRI is going to be good. When players go off he way he did, it's seldom good
Gonna be pissed if he was hurt Friday and now he blows out his knee. I would rather have Geno get punched in the face again than lose Mauldin.

Not getting into that debate.
The question here is, is this injury going to be an 8 gamer, or a season ender.
The year of the injury bug. The Jets are getting hammered. First Devin Smith and now Mauldin. Damn!
I hate to be a pessimist, but that sounds like a blown out knee.

I mean seriously, all these knee and ACL injuries going on , is it possible this field turf crap is no good? Its getting frustrating.

Thats good to hear, because the news flgreen reported (helped off, no foot on the ground) had ACL written all over it.
More likely the new CBA and the lack of practices with coaches and strength coaches is the problem. Nelson blew out his knee on grass today. Happens on all surfaces.

Mauldin gets up, but needs to be helped off the field. Limps into locker room with arms draped around two trainers.
If we lose Mauldin, we just got way slower at LB.
Probably means we keep Babin for another year. Having already lost IK (for good reason) that would be two young pass rushers lost in camp.
Yep, it buys Babin another year.
It sucks that we have no luck with edge rushers, we just can't seem to get a young stud installed at the position. Earlier in camp we had three showing some real promise, Mauldin, Reilly and IK, and now we might be down to one.
When you add in Sheldon Richardson's suspension and everything else, this training camp has been brutal on the Jets.
Sheldon suspension, Devin Smith injury, then losing Dee and Allen from the seconday, IK, Geno and the Aboushi suspension, Kerley concussion (hopefully not too serious but I think this is either his 2nd or 3rd concussion so that worries me as well).
Just an awful camp. With all of these bad breaks, maybe it is time for a good one and the Mauldin injury won't be as bad as we fear.
