Oakland Raiders to make Surprise Selection with the 4th pick

There are speculation that the Raiders are high on Ed Oliver, also noted they are willing to pull a trigger on a QB if they feel he is better than Carr... But there is one other option that no one is thinking of, they lost their tight end this off season and the rising star in this year's draft is Iowa's T.J. Hockenson a well rounded tight end that can catch and block, people comparing him to be the next Rob Gronkowski...

On needs base alone these could be the top 3 options in order:

1. T.J. Hockenson, TE from Iowa
2. Ed Oliver, DE from Houston
3. Drew Lock, QB from Washington

Coming in at four would be receiver after trading away Amari Cooper this past season, but of the top four none seem to be worth a top 10 nonetheless a top 5...

1. Marquise Brown, Oklahoma
2. DK Metcalf, Mississippi
3. AJ Brown, Mississippi
4. Parris Campbell, Ohio State

So this surprise pick could be one of the top three needs or a blindside move like some of these rumors state on interest by the team:

1. The Raiders love Quinnen Williams - Connor Hughes, The Athletic
2. I hear the Raiders "love" Josh Jacobs. - Peter King, NBC
3. The Raiders and Redskins both like Kyler Murray. - Clarence Hill, Fort Worth Star-Telegram (Hill says that Jon Gruden is "all over Murray.")
4. The Raiders are considering drafting Kyler Murray or Dwayne Haskins. - Charlie Campbell
5. If Quinnen Williams is available with the Raiders on the clock at No. 4, he would not make it to No. 5." - Scott Bair, NBC Sports Bay Area

This is why I think the Oliver rumor is a smokescreen. Get the Raiders all worked up over losing Oliver by throwing the interest out there for the Jets. What purpose does it serve the Jets to announce their preferences? Absolutely zero. Don’t show your hand now.

Fake interest? Absolutely. Let them worry about what we’re gonna do.

I am getting the feeling that the Raiders are going to do something shocking in this draft. It’s in their blood. They have a lot of ammunition, and they’re in position to shake up this draft.
