The problem is the Jets don't have a Carr or Cooper or the Raiders OL. Won't have close to same results with this situation.

Cool! with that thinking why even have an OC or any coaches for that matter.... Come on man...

I am not saying Petty or Hack are gonna be Carr... I am saying lets get a guy for our next OC with a proven track record in developing players; with an emphasis on QB's and experience in a proven Offensive system..... Musgrave fits that description and Ryan does as well if we want to take a gamble on a younger unproven as an OC guy

based on the names of people we've already reached out to, unproven guys might be the only ones interested..

if that's the case, i'm hoping that with petty & hackenberg being the only QBs under contract, we hire a QB coach as the next OC..

My point is why would he or any established coach want to coach the mess the Jets have and he won't look as good as the Jets OC.

Well when Musgrave went to OAK the same was being said about that franchise... I think people inside the NFL understand opportunities, situations change in a NY minute in professional sports. And I'm guessing here these coaches believe in themselves enough to think they are 100% the only reason a Carr, or Brady or whoever became the great player they are. So you may read that Hackenberg is horrible and the worst draft pick in the history of draft picks. And Petty still can't read a defense to save his life. But for all we know an offensive guy sees a perfect mold-able talent with the arm, the size and the smarts to be a great QB all the need is the right coach... Jon Gruden has gushed about Hackenbergs talent and Petty as have others..... So yes I do believe there are established guys out there that would want to come to the Jets. And if not guys like Sean Ryan would certainly jump at the opportunity

Personally I want a young , unporven Offensive minded guy like Sean Ryan.

In his years as WR coach with the Giants he's helped develop Hakeem Nicks, Victor Cruz, OBJ and even got the most out of Ruben Randle......

He was also the QB's coach for the Giants in 2012-2013.

He's also from Hudson falls NY LOL...

He's young, He has an offensive mind. He has a good history of working with young WR's. He knows how to work with a QB. He's been exposed to high pressure situations (i.e. Super Bowls) in the NY market. As well as having been around some very very good OC's and good systems like Gilbride, McAdoo and O'Brien...

So like I said on another thread. He's my Wild Card but a young new guy with a fresh take and a lot to prove.

Well Musgrave and McCoy are not interested since they have signed with Broncos. McCoy as OC and Musgrave as QB coach. Just plan on an unproven guy with not many options for OC so they will accept the Jets job.

i know musgrave took the denver QB coach gig..

was there any reports of us reaching out to him about the OC job??

Nope and reports are coming out that my wildcard guy Sean Ryan was promoted to QB's Coach and not likely to leave Texans as they won't hire and OC and O'Brien will call the plays and groom Ryan to take over as the OC.....

well there are only four active teams left to poach from..

unless of course, the jets have forgotten an OC hasn't been hired yet..
