Boy, Carter Warren and Dennis Kelly must be pretty bad if Billy Turnstile is our best option at right tackle. As was noted on the Chargers commentary he was often in the backfield alongside Zach available to take a handoff. I was surprised that Mitchell wasn't left there with Newman at right guard, instead of Mitchell playing guard for the first time alongside our center making his NFL regular season debut in that position.

I was originally against the idea but if Becton is the best right tackle we have then perhaps we have to move him over when Brown is available. At least he won't be pushed back as if he's on skates. Let's hope that Saffold can get match-fit and take the right guard spot.

They are all trash. Tippmann is the only one I have any hopes for and that's only because he hasn't played enough to prove he sucks too.

The problem with this Jet team is the organization is unwilling to admit that Wilson was a mistake of epic proportions and because everyone of his teammates know it they’re out there trying to do more than what’s asked of them .
Even the offensive players know they can’t win with this QB and are making mistakes trying to make “that” play.

This confuses me as well. In his short time at RT before his clotting issue Max was more than serviceable at RT. Why they switched him to guard and put that trash on the tackle spot is questionable at best.

Someone posted that Zach had 5 plus seconds to throw last night. If that’s true, then the line doesn’t suck. Zach sucks

if the line is as bad as my untrained eyes see it, then Zach might still suck, but the line definitely sucks.

I saw Zach get killed behind this line for 2 years, Mike white knocked out, Flacco too, Rodgers 4 plays. Seems like they may suck to me

and nobody likes to hear this, but part of the reason Zach sucks is because of how bad he was pummeled behind this line when he was supposed to be learning how to become an nfl qb

As they said on WFAN today half the teams have a bad OL....part of the reason yes but most of the reason is Sack.

We have been unlucky. Look at what happened with Cam Clark. And this year Tomlinson is the only starter still playing in his original position, and a number of people here wanted rid of him. By contrast it was said in the Chargers commentary that their O-line has been stable since the start of the season. Hard to do those combination blocks when a different set of guys line up each week. I wonder if having a bad O-line makes you more likely to have an injured O-line because you are more likely to be injured when you are being pushed backwards.

No argument, using the #2 pick on Zach was a mistake. That doesn't mean that he is the only thing wrong with the offense. I suspect that if Boyle was brought in we would be watching him being sacked behind our porous offensive line. IMO going all-in on Rodgers was also a mistake, we are saddled with Cobb, Lazard and Turner and in limbo waiting for the Second Coming of the King which I suspect won't last much longer than the first. Add to that the acquisition of washed-up Cook.

If I was the Jets defense I would spend some time practising laterals. If any D-lineman or LB gets turnover ball a DB should be moving up ready to take a lateral. Because I would have no confidence in the offense capitalising on a turnover.
