...more specifically, read blindside's posts advocating trading for Deebo. 3 seasons is a slow burn (and it's kind of what he said also). I thought that was clear from what I wrote.

I think JD’s a very good GM. His trades are unbelievable. The Darnold and Adams trades were highway robbery. And I love the way he’ll go up and get his guy (AVT, JJ). It’s crazy to me how much some fans bitch and moan about him. He’s light years better than Macc and Idzik but I guess that’s still not good enough.

You got to be in the top five or eight GM's

There might be an early run on LBs. They weren't touched in the first round and all the teams have had a day to digest everything.

there might be an early run on TE, RB, QB & LB in round 2 best bet trading down from 38 to acquire a 50s pick and 70s pick to grab a LB and SAF then go TE or RB with the 101st pick

Macc and Idzik have set the bar very low. Some of those here who are very favorable towards JD have also been very favorable towards Macc. ... 2-14, 4-13, 2022 is the slow burn improvement of which you were weary.

I have no problem building it methodically over time, but you also have to keep an open mind and not restrict yourself to just one way. If a star player becomes a possibility like Deebo did, and we need a #1 WR, why wouldn’t JD do his due diligence? He was in on Tyreek, too. It was very encouraging to see just now on B/R that the Jets had an offer on the table (along with Detroit) for Deebo. But the 49ers weren’t budging. So I stand corrected with Tinstar, you were right. The 49ers didn’t want to move him. Which is absolutely nuts to me if Samuel does in fact want out of there. What the hell is SF gonna do now? Wait this out for a better offer? Good luck with that.

@BlindsideD'Brick you have to admit, that sounds like JJ2 at 26, right? that trade was splash central station... i can still win a wet t-shirt contest.

Daniel Jeremiah has him as the 9th best player on his board. We could have stuck it out to see if he would fall to 35, or take Abiketie, Drake Jackson (who will be a steal), but we got JJ2 because JD was creative and fast & loose.

you're so right... it might be a wild night.

teams that weren't involved in all of the Trading Shenanigans last night are waking up today feeling like they were slipped a mickey, and need to start power drinking to catch up.

There are some Jets fans that would not only advocate taking a QB, but replacing Zach Wilson right now with him. I call them quick trigger fans. Little to zero patience watching a young QB develop. They’re everywhere on another fan board I’m visiting less and less.
