I love Jets fans... McCagnan goes from genius to absolute moron simply because his QB evaluation doesn't line up with what they think is the right pick.

2 years ago Hackenburg was projected as a #1 overall pick. He has shown unique skills.

Can we give him 5 or maybe 10 snaps in training camp before he is proclaimed the worst QB since Ryan Leaf

^^this^^

No way. We cannot show patience. We are Jets fans. Mel Kiper says it's a reach. So Maccagnan is an idiot.

This is all par for the course. The Jets watched Hackenberg in a private workout. They saw what they needed to see. But draft guides and pundits still hold the final say, apparently.

This is the classic risk/reward pick. You hate to burn a 2nd round pick on a QB with accuracy issues, but he lasted this long because of his flaws. However, thinking big picture- the Jets had to get a QB on the roster that has the potential to be a franchise player. Fitz is not it. Neither is Geno Smith, obviously. My feeling is that Petty's upside is that of a backup. Hack has plenty of arm strength. He's mobile. And he's big. Can he be developed? Time will tell.
Give Mac credit for having the cajones to make this pick. Whether you like it or not, it took guts to draft this player at this spot. It opens up Mac to a world of criticism if Hack stinks it up...

Is Jacksonville the big winner so far?

Jalen Ramsey, Myles Jack, and Yannick Ngakoue. Of course, throw in Dante Fowler with that group. That's some serious play makers on the defensive side of the ball. All disruptive type players than can fly around the field.

Add these young defensive studs to what Jax has going on offense (Bortles, Robinson, Marquise Lee, Rashad Green, Allen Hurns, TJ Yeldon) and they are a team that very well may be in the playoffs this year.

I'm hoping Braxton Miller slides to the Jets and we take him, then groom him behind Marshall and Decker.

ENORMOUS UPSIDE

Charone Peake from Clemson if not Braxton Miller would be an intriguing pick for the Jets

OLB Jordan Jenkins could be the pick as well, came away impressed from private workout a couple weeks ago...

YES!!! Finally a great pick. Jordan Jenkins is exactly who I had us taking in round 3 in my mock. Kid is tough and athletic and I actually think he outperforms Darron Lee from jump street.

Kiper said that if Jenkins ran a better forty time then he would have been a late first rounder/early second rounder

Hams Best Available for RD 3 (Updated)

I will remove players from this list as they are selected.

Jordan Jenkins
Kyler Fackrell
Jenkins was one of the last two 3-4 OLB's on my list worth taking, so IMO its a good pick.

I would have taken Braxton Miller who just went to Houston, but Jenkins is a good player.

In my extremely amateur opinion, Jenkins may be our best pick so far. I was thrilled when he was there.

Best thing about him - he is a better player than his measurables. The guy is simply a football player, in the best ways imaginable.

Hahahaha, Pats just took Brissett.

Let the comparison btw him and Hackenberg commence. Will be interesting to see how these two develop.

By far the best pick of our draft. While I don't love the Lee pick, we have got so much faster on our D. We now have a TRIO of disruptive LB'ers in Mauldin, Jenkins, and Lee that can fly around the field and make plays. I expect us to generate a lot of turnovers with these guys.

let's hope the transition from college to the pros is an easy one.

Every QB the Pats have taken in the past decade have been the next Tom Brady, according to their fans. Hoyer? Tom Brady's successor, they won't miss a beat. Ryan Mallett? He'll step right in and follow in Brady's footsteps. Garoppolo? He is going to be big-time. Now we'll hear it with Brissett.
