Shell has the wide base and quickness off the snap to set up shop and engage rushers.

Ranked early 6th round prospect.

Does this mean the end of Breno?

Qvale vs. Shell for RT?

Not an impressive profile for Shell

NFL

Like other picks, you have to trust the process that made them trade a 4th round pick for a 5th round pick that was projected as a 6th round pick

You really have to question what Macc is thinking right now. You have teams like Cleveland, Tenn, etc stockpiling future picks because they know they are in rebuild mode. You have the Jets doing the complete opposite as if they feel they are positioned for a SB run. That would be fine if we had anything resembling a championship caliber QB or OL. We do not.

I consider the 2017 draft to be pretty loaded. This stings to lose a 4th rounder for an OT that I've never heard of....and I watch a ton of CFB.

Brandon Shell from South Carolina played both Left Tackle and Right Tackle... He projects to be a Right Tackle at this level with a nastiness for run blocking but has the fluidity to deal with speed edge rushers... Was a smart move to acquire him, gives the team wiggle room to possibly release Breno who is coming off one horrendous season last year...

We are gonna deal one of the best players in the NFL for a 4th or 5th rounder?

Gotta free up some cash and get something in return or be like the Panthers and get squat for just releasing a player like Norman.

Worse case scenario, he leaves in free agency and we get a third. That's the worst case

Not neccesarily. Mac is drafting for Quality instead of "Quantity". The Pats have traded and stock piled and normally 1/2 those players get cut in less than 2 years.

I actually like that Mike is drafting players that fills the void that we have lacked for years.
Plus, losing out on a 4rth for '17 can be recompensed by the compensatory picks losing out on Ivory and Harrison.

I'd rather go with 7 solid players that can possibly contribute than what Idzik had in 12 players slected and only 6 are still on the team while the other ones were wasted picks.

Is it me or is TB packing on the pounds??? My god he is looking like a black rex from 2009

Sure hope so. Mangini was Mangenius when he was fat. Rex was going to AFC Championship games when he was fat. The winning left with the pounds.

This kid the Vikings picked in the 6th round, Moritz Boehringer (WR) from Germany might turn out to be something special. Ran a 4.47 and is 6'4" in a half and weighs 227 lbs. WOW, this kid is a damn beast and if he can put all that size and talent into talent on the NFL fields, the Vikings are going to be deadly for years to come. I was ofcourse the Jets would have nabbed him but I'm loving our draft overall anyway and we just missed the boat on this one.

Two strong leg Punters the Jets might consider with one of these two 7's ... Tom Hackett or Nick O'Toole

Two Nice Receiving TE's ... Thomas Duarte or Bryce Williams

Also like the big/fast WR from Clemson, Charone Peake
