Was a smart move to acquire him, gives the team wiggle room to possibly release Breno who is coming off one horrendous season last year...

Was a smart move to give up our 4th rounder next year, in a better draft, to add an extra 5th rounder this year, so we can take an OT that was projected to go in round 6?

And do you really think this affects Breno at all in 2016??? It doesn't. This guy is a developmental OT that might, MIGHT, help us in 2017. Stupid trade.

The Jets just took a projected mid rounder with their second pick in the seventh round, a WR who is about 6'3" and ran a 4.45, and I'm sure the pick will get slammed by some.

Well atleast we didn't pull the dumb dumb move and trade up in the 2nddamn round for a kicker/punter. That was just the worst, WOW! We needed a punter and got one in the 7th round. I can deal with that. Also drafted a WR. Mac and TB, you nailed it and this was a excellent draft. Just need the players to produce on the field and stay healthy and out to trouble on and off the field.

they were going to take Shell with their 4th pick if Burris wasn't available tells you something on how they feel about him...

stop it... the only thing stupid is you criticizing a move by a team that is not mortgaging our future... a 4th is nothing... if they traded away a 1st, 2nd or 3rd then I would be upset but its a day 3 selection...

as for what may be no one knows, maybe we get compensatory selections maybe we don't, shit we may even trade a couple players but next year it isn't all about the prospects coming out its about the fully rich free agent class...

Great Pick, probably out best pick in the draft for sheer value. To get that kind of size and speed in the 7th RD is a heist, and he's also about 210 Pounds. This is exactly the kind of WR Chan Gailey covets.

I love this pick and feel that Mac and TB nailed this draft all around. A+ IMO. The players just have to prove them right now.

Gil Brandt was at his Pro Day and said he ran two more forties that both beat his 4.45 Combines time. He ran a 4.37 and a 4.38, at 6' 3" and 210 Pounds. That is a ridiculous size/speed ratio.

I'm not sure I would go quite that high with it, unless you also factor in the fifth used for Brandon Marshall and the sixth for Ryan Fitzpatrick.

I do like a lot of the moves. Lee, to me, was a great value pick, but it is to be seen how he is coached and schemed. Hack? Hate how he played the last two years, and hope the Jets are right that it was more coaching and system than a reflection on him. Jenkins, I really liked, mainly because he is all football player beyond measurables. Burris, I like the scheme fit, but wonder about him being picked too early, a response to them not having fifths or sixths. Shell, love the pedigree, not 100% sold on him, but could be a big upside. Like going punter with Edwards, especially an Aussie punter, as they are usually more physical and athletic than other punters from having played Aussie Rules. Love the Peake pick, a gem who inexplicably fell to the mid-seventh.

I wouldn't give it an A+, but I think it was far stronger than many are willing to admit.

Sub-4.4 at that size? And from a legit program. To me, that is tough to ignore.

Incorrect. I would rather have the comp pick(s) AND our 4th rounder next year, in a stronger draft, which would have been the case had we not made a panic trade for a 5th round tackle that was actually projected as a 6th rounder.

But thats the thing Pointdexter, Thats next year. So many things can occur til next April. Who knows, we might have 10 picks next year with either compensation picks or trades. Did the Browns expect to have so many picks this year at the end of last years draft? This is what im talking about. Let 2017 take care of itself.

I'll let our awesome GM handle next years draft. As of right now, Mac had a tremendous draft. Targeting every hole we had on the team.

Seeing that you're the guy who tried to "educate me" on how Deshaun Watson and Brad Kaaya were no better than the 10th best QB in 2017's draft, I would be careful who you are calling stupid.

Just because I think we had a shit draft doesn't mean I think Macc is a shit GM. I still have a lot of faith in him. He has made great moves since becoming the man. But I call things like they are and he had a bad weekend, an Idzik-level bad weekend. I'm sorry, I don't like it anymore than you do but it's the truth.

NFL.com projected him as a 3rd RD Pick. I don't know why he fell, probably the two knee surgeries, but he's still running in the 4.3's so he's obviously healthy. Whatever it was, to get that kind of size and speed in the 7th RD is hard to believe.

He didn't call you stupid. He said your criticism was.
