The Patriots draft K’Neal Harry, WOW! This is too damn funny! The player I’ve been talking about and clamoring over for past couple of months is now a DAMN Patriot. I’m in no way saying that the Jets should have drafted him at #3 and I’m not saying they should have traded back and drafted him period in the first round. I was hoping we could get him in the second round, if we traded back and now the Patriots have him. LOL, he’ll be a future first ballot HOFer, 15-year, 85 plus catches,1100 plus yards and 10 plus TD guy with them. Probably extent Brady’s playing career definitely to 45-47 now. Wow, Patriots always seem to do it. Whether in 1st through 7th, trade or FA the Patriots always seem to do it. Damn!

Hopefully D. K. Metcalf falls to us and he’ll be gone by the third round.

QB Dwayne Haskins at 15 and ER Montez Sweat at 26 ... Redskins fans have to be doing cartwheels.

Redskins did an excellent job in this years draft (1st round anyway). Not a skins fan at all but I’m rooting for both these kids and Bravo skins.

Just a better organization than the Jets.

Can’t argue that. Hopefully one day that changes

I have this sneaky feeling that the Pats are going to trade for Josh Rosen. And then the QB the Jets could have had goes on to win multiple SB’s while the Jets keep drafting DT’s.

I admit it, I breathed a sigh of relief when the 49ers took Bosa.

Yep, I admit it, the more I thought about it and the more I investigated it, the more I was hoping the 49ers would draft Bosa.

Listen, I know Bosa is a blue-chip player, the HOF might be in his future, so it has nothing to do with the talent. I Just became more and more convinced that I was looking at a 4-3 DE, not a 3-4 OLB, and Q is just a better player in my view. But the thing that really flipped it for me was that I could not find a serious injury anywhere in Q's history (and believe me, I looked), but when I looked at Bosa's history I discovered he missed part of his senior season in H.S. with a torn ACL, then missed nearly all of 2018 with a groin/abdominal injury that required surgery as well. I may not be a mathematician, but that means he essentially missed two of the past four seasons with season ending injuries that required surgery. I also recall reading that Bosa played with an injury for parts of last season or the season prior, but I'm not sure about that.

Anyway, then I looked at his brother Joey's injury history and noticed he missed 9 Games his rookie season and four games last year with injuries.

So basically we have two Uber-talented brothers who have a hard time playing a full season without getting hurt. At first I thought Q was the best player in the draft but would have been equally happy with Bosa, but towards the end I was hoping the Cardinals took Murray, the 49ers took Bosa, and we had a choice between Q and Allen. Yes, I did think Allen was a better fit at 3-4 OLB than Bosa.

Wait a second, are you saying that Rosen is better then Darnold or he’ll win SBs if he gets traded there because of the organization? That was never a thought in my mind that Rosen was or is better then Darnold. In fact, I feel Darnold is leaps and bounds better then Rosen. I’m not saying that I think Rosen is a bad QB at all and with the right team like the Patriots, he may turn out being a HOFer but he ain’t on Darnold’s level.

I’ve been thinking since around the middle of the draft yesterday that Rosen will end up in Miami. If I was Rosen I wouldn’t want to go to NE anyway. He'll be riding the bench there for 3-5 more years. I would want to go to Miami where I can be the day one starter and hopefully help that team become winners. Not ride Brady’s coat tail. Miami needs a QB bad and Rosen fits the bill and right there for the taking.

Side note: Can you imagine all three top ten QB picks from last year playing in the same division for the next 15 plus years. Besides, NE doesn’t need Rosen right now. Mark my words, they find away the rig the shit so that in two years they get the #1 pick and draft Trevor Lawrence from Clemson.

Day 2 - Jets have to find a way to come out of today with either McCoy, Jenkins or to a lesser extent the C from Penn State. My choice is E Jenkins, kid could be fixture for the next 10 years.

of all the player a top the draft board, bosa was the one i did not want. pretty much the same reasons as you - he doesn't fit the 3-4 and his injury history. i also think he's being hyped BECAUSE of his brother. now maybe he's worthy of the praise on his own, and he will have the chance to prove it. but pretty much most draft profiles you read mention his brother.

in any event, i gave a little cheer when the niners took him. while i would probably have preferred a trade down, obviously there were no offers worth accepting. and while allen may have been a bigger "need", i can never be upset drafting an elite talent like williams

Macc said the Jets could move into the 2nd if the opportunity presents itself. There are some CB’s there, some O-linemen there, some WR’s there. I wouldn’t mind a move up to grab one of those positions.

If we stay in the 3rd with the two picks, that first pick is high enough to grab a quality player. Maybe a Center to compete with Harrison.

gonna be tough without a 2nd rounder.

now i wouldn't undo the trade last year that landed darnold in a million years, but it really sucks not being able to grab a quality player (o-line particularly) at the top of round 2

It will be tough to get good players without any 2nd round picks. Hopefully Mac will quickly find a way to get back into that round. For my money most, not all, of the available players after round 2 will be hit or miss, mostly project type of players, that might be able to be coached into a better player.

Eagles made a smart move trading up to 22 for Andre Dillard.

LT Jason Peters is 37 years old, tore his ACL and MCL two years ago and is a shell of his former self.

IMO Dillard was the best pass-pro LT in the draft ... and they don't have Nick Foles around anymore to bail them out if Carson Wentz goes down.

The one thing about Dillard is he is absolutely a pure LT. He's not a guy who you could put at RT and then slide to LT. He either has to start at LT or be on the bench.

True, but we got Quinnen because we didn't give up this year's #1. For that, we can thank Maccagnan.

Nope, though in the division. Dolphins going to land him by dealing their second rounder at #48.

Three of the four big QBs from the 2018 class are going to take up residence in the AFC East.
