Austin Bryant

Most underrated edge rusher in the draft in my view and I just realized he's still on the board.

Ditto Jaylon Ferguson, Chase Winovich, Oshane Ximines and Jachai Polite ... but Bryant is the most underrated in my view.
Terrific 3rd RD Pick for the Jets.

That was where the value was, edge rushers, some highly regarded ones slid to RD 3 and I'm glad the Jets took one of them rather than reach for an OL where there were no OL's left on the board who offered real value with that early 3. The real value was RB's and edge rushers, but edge rusher was obviously the much bigger need.

I know Jachai Polite slid because he failed to impress in the underwear olympics this year and he's not exactly sociable, but I like by edge rushers mean, like James Harrison, I'm sure he's not exactly the life of the party either and he went undrafted because he wasn't a good conversationalist and failed to impress in shorts, but if you watched his film he was a killer off the edge at Oregon, or was it Oregon State?, and if you watch Polite's tape he's a killer off the edge who hunts down the QB with bad intentions.

Oh and if we are staying in the 3-4 this kid is a 3-4 RUSH OLB from the word GO!!

Too light for a 4-3 DE and not complete enough for a 3-4 LB.
A true tweener.

Mac continues to treat O-linemen like they explode on contact and is going to get Darnold hurt if he doesn't do something about the o-line.

WOW, is the guy ever going to draft an oline men higher then the fourth round? This is getting ridiculous and if Mac has, please remind me because I honestly don’t remember. We have about twenty dline men and twenty LBs now. What are going to do with all these guys? All of them can’t be on the field. Even at separate times in the game, they all aren’t going to get enough playing time. Time to trade some of these guys for oline men and late round draft picks.

He has strength and character concerns, hopefully will be resolved, but there's no denying he has talent.

we have another 3rd round pick but highly doubt this pompous ass of a GM will take an OL with that pick...

we DO NOT have a starting center --- Connor McGovern from PSU is a quality option if he lasts to our next pick...

What position on the o line does he best fit in?
There was nothing of value on the board at OL in that spot. I was watching the OL's all night last night and tonight, and IMO every single one of them who carried a day one or day two grade came off the board before the Jets early 3. OT's, OG's and Centers. Not a single one left who wouldn't have been a reach with that early 3. The value at that spot, and I mean REAL VALUE, like guys who have a chance to make a real impact, was ER's and RB's and I know nobody wanted a RB, so the Jets filled a need at edge rusher with a real value pick in RD 3.

BTW if we want to reach for an OL in RD 3, do it with our later 3, not the early 3.

Mack played this right, take the value at ER, a guy who was projected as a first rounder when it was just about FOOTBALL and not workouts or interviews, because he was a beast on the football field.

Now if you want to reach for a day 3 OL with our later 3rd RD Pick, I don't like reaching but I can live with it.

Mac realizes you need at least three good lines to win the Stanley Cup.
Oh, wait! They're not playing in the NHL.
Will somebody please tell that to him?

If he produces like I saw him do at UF then I'm happy. If he plays like he showed up at Pro day and Combine then its sucks.

When he was being judged strictly for what he did on the football field, he was a consensus first round pick, every draft site and every ex NFL analysts had him tagged as a first round pick and one of the best ER's in this draft.

Terrific value pick at a position of real need. We've been searching for a real 3-4 RUSH OLB like this since John Abraham.

we need a Center, so Connor McGovern should be the pick if there but we can also grab another weapon for Sammy maybe Riley Ridley receiver....

Cannon stinks. If you want a real dangerous scat-back, Pick Justice Hill with that late 3.

If there's a Kareem Hunt in this draft, who can juke you out of your shoes and he's off to the races, it's Darrell Henderson or Justice Hill. Henderson is off the board, but so far Hill is still available. Perfect scat-back compliment to spell Le'Veon Bell, you can even use them in the backfield together and shift one on them into the slot because both are terrific receivers too.

Edoga
Edoga is a smooth, athletic run-blocker and an uneven, unrefined pass protector, which creates a challenge in projecting him. His ability to get to blocks in a variety of positions from his initial stance is something that cannot be taught. While some of his flaws in pass pro can be coached up, there are physical deficiencies that could plague him throughout his career. To become a successful NFL starter, he needs to check the strength, maturity, and durability boxes as early as possible in his career.
