Keeping Darnold was the right thing to do for the future of the Jets. I never said keeping him forever just drafting Zach was a colossal mistake. Dolphins traded their #3 pick for the 49ers #12 in 2021. That pick was then flipped by Dolphins to Cowboys and they took Micah Parsons. We could have had Parsons. Then they also got the 49ers 1st and 3rd round picks in 2022. And their 1st round pick in 2023. If you read my post that you quoted I said he was garbage, but you have to be retarded to not take that trade. You stopped reading my post when I mentioned Darnold which is what you always do. Some of us have never supported Zach. I will agree with you that you don't know shit about QB's, but neither do I.

Darnold had 39 TD's and 34 INT's with 6800 yards in 31 games.
Zach had 20 TD's and 24 INT's with 5800 yards in 31 games.
I had to edit my comment here after re-reading your post and it is a very valid one I must admit. Your stats line here leads me to have a question? What is the completion percentage for both of them? I would be truly curious to know? It’s probably garbage for the both of them. Under 60%.
I will give you that the Jets should have gone with the kings ransom trade and stuck with Darnold one more year. Even though, I don’t remember you ever saying it like that. I remember you saying they should have made the trade and stuck with Darnold period! No need to back and forth on it now. It is what it is!
If they would have made the trade, Darnold would have flopped anyway (at least I believe so) but they would have had all those picks to have build the the team up for the whatever QB draft pick the next year. Problem with this when it comes to you, is nothing the Jets seem to do makes you happy! Ever draft picks sucks and if they don’t suck, you over emphasize the ones they did draft that didn’t turn out so well and give them little credit for what they drafted correctly.
I personally feel that the correct draft picks and free agency signing overwhelmingly out way the bad ones but with you, it seems you disagree and just never get it right! This regime here is done ten time better than the last one and the one before that. If I remember it correctly. The excellent draft picks like Becton and now it appears AVT that can’t stay healthy is not on them, it’s just bad luck or that old Jets mojo, as I like to call it!
Last, you say most or some people were never on the Zach train and I agree with that because neither was I. I wanted Justin Fields or for them to trade back and keep Darnold and give him one last year. I had no faith in Darnold at that time and figured he would flop, as he did with the Panthers but at least the team would be stacked!
As I said in my other post that Darnold was/is garbage and that is because not only did he prove that with us, but he did with the Panthers with a MUCH better roster and he currently can’t get on the field with the 49ers. He’s letting a 7th round QB keep him on the bench. If that doesn’t tell you anything, than I don’t know what will!
Anyway, I’m not saying that Zach would be starting over Purdy because he wouldn’t. Some players have it and some don’t and Darnold and Zach don’t. They are both GARBAGE! I will agree with you on this, you don’t know shit about QBs and neither do I. So let’s just end it off at that and move on from this topic!
